Methods and systems for deploying an automated driving model include testing an automated driving model with a set of scenarios that include a single obstacle. The set of scenarios is pruned to include only those scenarios that do not result in a collision, but that may result in a collision with the addition of another obstacle. New scenarios are added to the set of scenarios to include scenarios that have an additional obstacle to form an updated set of scenarios. The automated driving model is tested with the updated set of scenarios. The automated driving model is deployed to a vehicle to control operation of one or more systems in the vehicle.

Training and testing automated driving models

A method, system, and computer readable article of manufacture for simulating a mechanism system controlled by a plurality of electronic control units operating at different clock rates. The simulation system includes a mechanism system simulator; a plurality of electronic control unit emulators for electronically emulating the respective plurality of electronic control units, each thereby receiving an input signal with a time and giving an output signal with a time; and a scheduler for receiving and storing the output signals with the times from the plurality of electronic control unit emulators, and for providing, in response to a change in the output signal coming from the electronic control unit emulator and having a relatively late time, the output signal with a time preceding the relatively late time to the mechanism system simulator.

Control unit simulation method, system, and program

In a normal operation, a physical unit simulator is allowed to speculatively perform high-speed continuous execution. Only when an actual input comes in, a speculative input and the actual input are compared with each other. Thereafter, in response to inconsistency between the inputs, the physical unit simulator is returned to a point closest to the point of the actual input and is allowed to execute a variable step module to reach the point of the actual input. Upon arrival at the point of the actual input, the simulator is shifted back to the high-speed continuous execution from there. Thus, a processing speed of the simulator can be significantly improved.
