A process for producing a normal sintered cubic silicon carbide which comprises sintering cubic silicon carbide powder made up of crystallites of more than 480 .ANG. in size determined from the reflection in the (4 2 0) plane measured by the powder X-ray diffraction method.

Process for producing a sintered cubic silicon carbide

A process for decomposing vulcanized rubber which comprises swelling 100 parts by weight of vulcanized rubber with 10-3000 parts by weight of an organic solution, and adding and mixing 0.1-20 parts by weight of an organic hydroperoxide (a) and of 0.001-1 mole equivalent per said (a) of at least one member (b) selected from the group consisting of copper salts, cobalt salts, and strongly alkaline compounds.

Process for decomposing vulcanized rubber

Vulcanized rubber is decomposed by treating 100 parts by weight of vulcanized rubber with a solution containing 1-30 parts by weight of a diacyl peroxide having decomposition temperature of 90.degree. C. or below and at least one member capable of swelling vulcanized rubber selected from the group consisting of solvents and radical-polymerizable monomers.

Rubber compositions having excellent vibration isolating properties at a high hardness are produced by compounding 100 parts by weight of at least one of natural rubbers, diene rubbers and diene copolymeric rubbers or a rubber blend of these rubbers and a halogenated butyl rubber, 0.5-35 parts by weight of an oil modified phenol resin, a modified ratio of which is 20% or more, and 2-30 parts by weight based on said resin, of a hardening agent for the phenol resin and hardening the resulting mixture. The use of such rubber compositions is possible to make a rubber mounting to be a small size.
