A vehicle includes a power source, a transmission coupled to the power source, and a control unit. The transmission includes a torque converter and a hydraulic switching mechanism. A processor of the control unit is configured to execute in accordance with an instruction stored in a storage medium: obtaining RPM of a turbine shaft of the torque converter based on a unit time when the transmission is switched from neutral to forward driving or to reverse driving; determining whether the RPM is decreased by an amount greater than a predetermined amount of decrease based on the unit time; and reducing, if the RPM is decreased by an amount greater than the predetermined amount of decrease based on the unit time, pressure of oil to be supplied to an oil chamber of the hydraulic switching mechanism when the transmission switches to the same mode as the previously switched mode next time.

A clutch control system includes a clutch, and a control unit. The control unit includes one or more processors, and one or more memories configured to store an executable instruction(s). The one or more processors are configured, in accordance with the instruction, to: acquire an engine torque; based on the engine torque, calculate a base transmission torque of the clutch; calculate a first transmission torque of the clutch by limiting, based on a first limiting condition, an amount of change of the base transmission torque; based on the first transmission torque, control the clutch; during return from a fuel cut, calculate a second transmission torque of the clutch by limiting the amount of change of the base transmission torque based on a second limiting condition that is more limiting than the first limiting condition; and, during return from the fuel cut, control the clutch based on the second transmission torque.

A gear change control system includes: a shift operation member configured to receive a shift range operation; a clutch configured to transmit a torque of an input shaft to an output shaft; a clutch actuator configured to control engagement of the clutch by using a working fluid; a manual valve configured to switch a supply destination of the working fluid to the clutch actuator in accordance with a decided shift range; a shift actuator configured to move the manual valve on the basis of a shift range changing operation of the shift operation member; and an oil pressure control actuator configured to reduce an oil pressure of the working fluid to a target oil pressure after the shift range changing operation received by the shift operation member is started and before the shift actuator moves the manual valve toward a shift range changing destination.

Gear change control system and gear change control device

Provided is a control device for a vehicle including a continuously variable transmission. The control device includes a lock-up clutch, an oil pump, an electric motor, and a device control unit. The lock-up clutch is disposed in a torque converter coupled to the engine and switchable between an engaged state and a released state. The oil pump is driven by the engine and supplies a hydraulic oil to the continuously variable transmission. The electric motor is coupled to the engine and controlled to be in a powering state in which the engine is rotationally driven. The device control unit controls the lock-up clutch to put into the released state and controls the electric motor to put into the powering state if a discharge pressure of the oil pump falls below a threshold value at the time of a vehicle deceleration in which a fuel supply to the engine is cut off.
