An oscillator device includes at least one movable element supported for oscillatory motion around a rotational axis, and a damper member for applying a damping function to the oscillatory motion of the movable element, the damper member being provided along at least a portion of a locus plane defined by an edge of the movable element during oscillatory motion thereof, so that, based on a viscosity of a fluid which is present between the edge of the movable element and a portion of the damper member opposed to the edge of the movable element, the damping function is applied to applied to the oscillatory motion of the movable element.

Oscillator device and optical deflector using the same

A display unit is provided which enables monocular observation of a magnified displayed image, and binocular observation of a non-magnified displayed image. The display unit comprises a liquid crystal display element having pixels arranged two-dimensionally, and a backlight source for illuminating the liquid crystal display element from the backside. The backlight source comprises a micro-spotlight illumination system constituted of a surface light source, a barrier element, and a microlenses. The barrier element is controlled to take a complete transmission mode to transmit the light emitted form the surface light source or an aperture-formation mode to form apertures in matrix arrangement. In the aperture formation mode, the microlenses are focused substantially on the apertures respectively. The apertures, the microlenses corresponding thereto, and the pixels corresponding thereto are arranged such that the optical axes of the respective micro-spotlight illumination system pass through the pixels of the corresponding liquid crystal display elements from the backside and come to intercross roughly at one point on a pupil of an eye E brought close to the display face of the liquid crystal display element at a short distance not focusable physiologically.

Display unit, display method, and display instrument employing the same

A display device includes a self-light-emitting image display that has pixels arranged two-dimensionally, micro light-emitting points that correspond to each pixel of the image display and exist in a part of the pixel, and a micro optical element that guides irradiated light from each of the micro light-emitting points arranged two-dimensionally. Optical axes connecting each of the micro light-emitting points and the micro optical element corresponding to the micro light-emitting point substantially intersect in a predetermined point closer than a near point of an eye, and the micro optical element is arranged so as to focus a virtual image of the micro light-emitting point corresponding to the micro optical element in a position that is a least distance of distinct vision or more apart from the predetermined point.

Display device

The present invention provides a reflection- or transmission-type liquid crystal display method enabling color synthesis without employing a dichroic prism or a polarizing beam splitter. Reflection-type display devices are formed on a reflective substrate. Each reflection type display device is composed of a barrier element consisting of a group of small liquid crystal shutters arranged two-dimensionally, microlens elements two-dimensionally arranged corresponding to the liquid crystal shutters, and a reflective surface of the reflective substrate, wherein the reflective surface is positioned on the focal plane of the microlenses. Parallel light beams of red, green and blue colors introduced obliquely respectively enter the reflection-type display devices exclusive for the respective colors and are mutually superposed on a plane distant from the display devices to achieve color synthesis. A projection lens is focused on the plane and projects an image on a screen provided in a distant position.

A magnetic sensor for detecting magnetic fields deriving from a magnetic body to detect any magnetic body on a non-magnetic body by moving relative to the non-magnetic body in prescribed relative moving directions along the surface of the non-magnetic body includes a magnetizing magnet in which a line connecting the N and S poles thereof is a direction substantially orthogonal to, and of which one pole is arranged either in contact with or in proximity to, the surface of the non-magnetic body; and a magnetism detecting element having two magnetic detectors arranged along a magnetic field detecting direction, the magnetic field detecting direction being orthogonal to the relative moving directions in a surface parallel to the surface of the non-magnetic body, wherein the magnetic body is magnetized by the magnetizing magnet along with the movement relative to the non-magnetic body, and magnetic fields according to the quantity of the magnetized part of the magnetic body are differentially detected by the two magnetic detectors of the magnetism detecting element.

A high magnetic head for floppy disk drives that can prevent crosstalk between magnetic cores. Two nonmagnetic material pieces are joined with two magnetic material pieces, respectively, and track grooves and a winding groove are formed on a surface of each of the two magnetic material pieces. The nonmagnetic material pieces are joined together to form a core block with those surfaces facing each other on which the grooves are formed. The core block is cut to a plurality of front core assemblies. The core assembly includes a magnetic circuit having a magnetic gap, and nonmagnetic spacer members which do not form a magnetic circuit, thereby preventing crosstalk between the magnetic cores constituting the composite type magnetic head.

A magnetic head has a first magnetic core and a second magnetic core, a partition wall plate and sliders. The first and second magnetic cores are securely joined together through the partition wall plate in the widthwise direction of tracks of a recording medium. The sliders are disposed on the outer surfaces of the cores in the widthwise direction of the tracks. A surface of the partition wall that is opposite the recording medium is recessed from the sliding contact surfaces of the first and second magnetic cores and the sliders against the recording medium. This provides a concave groove which reduces the area of the sliding contact surface. Spacing loss by the magnetic head can be substantially extinguished and the wearing away of the recording medium can be avoided by air pressure produced in the concave groove.
