An inkjet recording device having droplet ejection heads that respectively eject ink liquids of plural colors and a reaction liquid at a recording medium; a preparation section, that prepares dot data representing ejection-amounts of the ink liquids and the reaction liquid for each dot, based on gradation values of each pixel of an image represented by image data, such that ejection-amounts of the ink liquids of some colors, each having high in visibility, are represented by data with a predetermined number of bits, and ejection-amounts of the reaction liquid and the ink liquid of the rest color are represented by data with a number of bits smaller than the predetermined number, and a number of bits of the dot data for one dot is an integer multiple of eight bits; and a control section that controls ejection based on the prepared dot data, is provided.

Inkjet recording device

An inkjet head inspection device inspects an inkjet head including plural nozzles that eject ink droplets, plural ink reservoirs that contain the ink to be ejected from the plural nozzles, and plural piezoelectric elements that exert pressure on the ink reservoirs to force the ink droplets out of the nozzles. The inkjet head inspection device has a differential amplifier section that amplifies a differential voltage between respective ground-side electrodes or opposite-side electrodes of the piezoelectric elements corresponding to two nozzles to be inspected, when a drive voltage application section applies a drive voltage to each of the piezoelectric elements, and a decision section that decides whether an ink jet malfunction occurs in the two nozzles to be inspected, based on the differential voltage furnished from the differential amplifier section.

Inkjet head inspection device

The present invention provides an inkjet recording head cartridge and an inkjet recording apparatus that have a simple structure and high reliability. Since individual flow passages in which ink emission orifices are formed are communicated directly with a rectangular ink supply chamber, it is prevented that a bubble of such a size as to cause printing defects rises through an ink supply chamber and blocks the individual flow passages. Also, since ink heated within the ink supply chamber is moved upward to the ink tank chamber by convection and grows an air lump sealed beforehand, it is prevented that a bubble will grow in the ink supply chamber. Furthermore, by allocating a large cross-sectional area to the ink supply chamber, it is prevented that meniscus oscillation of the ink emission orifices is amplified by pressure oscillation caused by ink emission and causes a printing defect. Therefore, reliable printing can be performed with a simple construction.

Inkjet recording head cartridge and inkjet recording apparatus

The present invention provides a liquid jet printing head, a method of manufacturing the same, and a liquid jet printing apparatus, which allow stable, high speed, and continuous printing. A liquid jet printing head provides an inflow of liquid from an inlet to a common chamber, then along with the surface of heating elements of a heating element substrate and with a wall of a housing to separate channels. Liquid drops will be ejected by heating the heating elements. Since liquid may flow linearly from the inlet to the separate channels in accordance with the present invention, smooth flow promotes evacuation of bubbles through a nozzle, while cooling the heating element substrate with liquid flowing along with the substrate. The present invention provides thereby stable printing with high speed, continuous ejection (printing) of liquid drops.

Liquid jet printing head and method for manufacturing the same

An inexpensive ink tank having an ink remaining amount detection section which can be used with ink of any color is disclosed. An optical ink detection section formed from a light transmitting material has an inclined interface and is formed integrally with the ink tank. Incident light from a light source is refracted, when ink is present in the ink tank, at the interface to make refraction light and does not emerge to a visual observation portion. When no ink is present, the incident light is totally reflected by the interface to make total reflection light, which can be visually observed at the visual observation portion. A roughened face is formed at the visual observation portion so that light emerging to the visual observation portion may be scattered to facilitate visual observation.
