A toner including a toner particle comprising a binder resin and a crystalline polyester, wherein the binder resin contains a polyester having a structure represented by the following formula (1): in formula (1), Rs each independently represent hydrogen, a methyl group, or a phenyl group;A represents a polyester segment;B represents a polyester segment or any functional group selected from the group consisting of &#x2014;ROH, &#x2014;RCOOH, and &#x2014;RNHwherein Rrepresents a single bond or a Calkylene group; andthe average repeat number n is 10 to 80.

A liquid developer comprising: a toner particle containing binder resin; a carrier liquid; and a basic toner particle dispersing agent, wherein the basic toner particle dispersing agent is a primary amine, an acid value of the binder resin is at least 10 mg KOH/g, an acid value of a component having a molecular weight of not more than 2,000 contained in the binder resin is not more than 5 mg KOH/g, and a hydroxyl value of the component having a molecular weight of not more than 2,000 contained in the binder resin is not more than 10 mg KOH/g.

Liquid developer

Provided is an apparatus for heat treatment capable of heat-treating toner particles efficiently and uniformly while suppressing increase of coarse particles due to coalescence, to thereby enable stable toner production. The apparatus for heat-treating powder particles each of which contains a binder resin and a colorant includes: a cylindrical treatment chamber in which the powder particles are heat-treated; a columnar member () provided so as to protrude from a lower end part of the treatment chamber toward an upper end part thereof; a powder particle supply unit () for supplying the powder particles to the treatment chamber; a hot air supply unit () for heat-treating the supplied powder particles; and a collection unit () for collecting the heat-treated powder particles discharged outside the treatment chamber through a toner discharge port provided on the lower end part side of the treatment chamber. The hot air supply unit is provided so that the hot air is supplied along an inner circumferential surface of the treatment chamber. The powder particle supply unit includes multiple particle supply ports provided on an outer circumferential surface of the columnar member. The toner discharge port is provided in an outer circumferential portion of the treatment chamber so as to keep a rotation direction of the powder particles.

Apparatus for heat-treating powder particles and method of producing toner

A heat treating apparatus for powder particles including a cylindrical treating chamber; a powder particle-supplying unit; a hot air-supplying unit that supplies hot air for heat-treating powder particles; a cold air-supplying unit that supplies cold air for cooling the heat-treated powder particles; a regulating unit for regulating a flow of the supplied powder particles; and a recovering unit that recovers the heat-treated powder particles. The regulating unit is a substantially circular columnar member, the hot air-supplying unit has an outlet opposite to the upper end portion of the columnar member, and the regulating unit is equipped with a substantially conic distributing member for distributing the supplied hot air in a circumferential direction and a rotating member for rotating the distributed hot air in a spiral manner, on the center of the upper end portion.

Heat treating apparatus for powder particles and method of producing toner

Provided are a toner and a two-component developer each of which: shows a small fluctuation in charge quantity and a small fluctuation in image density even under a high-temperature and high-humidity environment; and does not cause any member contamination even after endurance and hence can stably output an image. The toner and the two-component developer each have a feature in that positively chargeable strontium titanate fine particles are added to toner particles having fixed thereto negatively chargeable silica fine particles.

A heat treating apparatus for powder particles containing a binder resin and a colorant, the heat treating apparatus including: a treating chamber in which a heat treatment of the powder particles is performed; a raw material-supplying unit for supplying the powder particles to the treating chamber; a hot air-supplying unit that supplies hot air to the treating chamber; a cold air-supplying unit that supplies cold air for cooling the heat-treated powder particles; and a recovering unit that recovers the heat-treated powder particles. The raw material-supplying unit includes an introducing tube and a distributing member, and the distributing member is provided with a protruding member on a portion opposite to an outlet portion of the introducing tube, and the distributing member includes a supplying tube including two or more flow paths that extend radially outwardly from the protruding member to a wall surface of the treating chamber.
