A driver for driving a display panel having a light emitting element includes a plurality of control pads, each of which is electrically connected to a control line of the display panel; and a plurality of power source pads, each of which is electrically connected to a power source line of the display panel and is larger in area than the control pad. The control pads and the power source pads are arranged in line and an order of arrangement of the control pads and the power source pads is symmetrical with respect to a direction of pad arrangement.

A display device includes a driver circuit that controls so that an electric charge accumulation and a voltage detection/supply start simultaneously for a pixel circuit in a first row in the matrix and a pixel circuit in a second row in a matrix and adjacent to the pixel circuit in the first row in one direction along a column, and that controls so that the electric charge accumulation and the voltage detection/supply end simultaneously for the pixel circuit in the first row and a pixel circuit in a third row and adjacent to the pixel circuit in the first row in another direction along the column.

Display device and method of driving the same

A technique to reduce the rate of increase in threshold voltage, i.e. degradation, of an amorphous silicon TFT driving an OLED. A first supply voltage is supplied to a drain of the TFT when a first control voltage is applied to a gate of the TFT to activate the TFT and drive the OLED. However, a second, lower supply voltage is supplied to the drain of the TFT when a second control voltage is applied to the gate of the TFT to deactivate the TFT and turn off the OLED, whereby a voltage differential between the drain and the source when the second control voltage is applied to the gate is substantially lower said first supply voltage. This reduces degradation of the TFT. According to one feature of the present invention, when the TFT is turned off by the absence of voltage applied to its gate, the voltage at the drain of the TFT is reduced to approximately zero to minimize the voltage differential between the drain and the source.

Organic light-emitting diode display

An active matrix substrate includes a gate electrode, a gate insulating film, a semiconductor layer, a source electrode and a drain electrode, which are sequentially deposited on an insulating substrate. A transparent conductive layer is deposited on the source and drain electrodes so that the transparent conductive layer includes a portion deposited to be substantially the same pattern as those of the source and drain electrodes. The transparent conductive layer is connected to either the source electrode or the drain electrode to form a pixel electrode. A gate line is further included on which the gate insulating film is deposited. The gate line is to be connected to the gate electrode.

Active matrix substrate and manufacturing method thereof

An organic LED device comprises a substrate, a first driver TFT on the substrate, a second driver TFT on said substrate, and an insulating film on the substrate, the first driver TFT and the second driver TFT. There is a common anode on the insulating film. A first organic LED element is on a first portion of the anode and configured as a top emission struction, and a second organic LED element is on a second portion of the anode and configured as a top emission structure. A first cathode extends into the insulating film and electrically connects the first LED element with the first driver TFT. A second cathode extends into the insulating film and electrically connects the second LED element with the second driver TFT.

The present invention relates to minimizing a leakage current in a floating island region formed in a thin film transistor, and to maintaining a large ON-current required for an operation of the TFT. More specifically, the present invention is directed to a thin film transistor includes: a gate electrode disposed above an insulating substrate and formed in a predetermined pattern; an a-Si film formed in accordance with the pattern of the gate electrode ; a source electrode formed via the a-Si film ; and a drain electrode disposed at a predetermined interval from the source electrode . Thin film transistor, liquid crystal display panel, and manufacturing method of thin film transistor

The present invention features designs of pixels and designs of control features for seals on AMLCD tiles optimized for tiling AMLCD flat panel displays (FPDs) which have visually imperceptible seams. The FPD structure has an image view plane which is continuous and remote from the pixel apertures or image source plane on the inside of the tiles. The image is formed on the view plane by a distributed ultra low magnification flies-eye optical system (a screen) that is integrated with the tiles, effectively excluding and obscuring an image of the seams. The innovations described herein minimize the defects on the perimeter pixels by effectively damming the waviness of the front of the seal near the perimeter pixels on the tiles. Dark space required for the seal between the interior tile edges and active regions of the pixels is decreased, as is the space allocated for wiring thereby increasing the feasible aperture ratios near the mosaic edges and all apertures. The tile designs make effective use of the area of an entire manufacturing panel.
