An optical device includes: a first optical system; and a second optical system. The first optical system includes a first light splitting device configured to split measurement light emitted from a first light source into a first measurement light and a second measurement light and then mix the split measurement light, a first mirror configured to add a first modulation signal by being moved in an entering direction of the first measurement light and reflecting the first measurement light, a second mirror configured to reflect the second measurement light, and a first light receiving device configured to receive the measurement light including a sample-derived signal and the first modulation signal and output a first light receiving signal. The second optical system includes a second light source configured to emit laser light, an optical modulator configured to add a second modulation signal to the laser light, and a second light receiving device configured to receive the laser light including a displacement signal generated by reflection on the first mirror and the second modulation signal and output a second light receiving signal.

A laser interferometer includes a laser light source that emits laser light, an optical modulator which superimposes a modulation signal on the laser light using a vibrator driven by a drive signal, a photodetector that receives the laser light including a sample signal and the laser light including the modulation signal, and outputs a light receiving signal, an oscillator that generates a reference signal, an amplifier that outputs the drive signal from the reference signal, and a processor that extracts a frequency modulation component from the light receiving signal and the reference signal, outputs a preprocessing signal including the frequency modulation component, demodulates the sample signal from the preprocessing signal and the reference signal, outputs a correction signal based on an output signal depending on driving of the vibrator, and corrects the drive signal and the reference signal based on the correction signal.

A laser interferometer includes a laser light source, a collimator generating collimated light, an optical modulator modulating the collimated light into reference light having a different frequency, and a light receiving element receiving object light and the reference light and outputting a light receiving signal. An optical axis of the collimated light is a first optical axis. When return light is generated, an optical axis of the return light is a second optical axis. A position at which the collimated light is generated is a reference position. The first and second optical axes at the reference position has a shift width Δy. The collimator has an effective diameter κ. The collimated light has a light diameter R. The reference position is away from the optical modulator by a distance L. The collimated light has a wavelength λ. These properties satisfy a specific equation (A).

A laser interferometer includes a light source configured to emit first laser light, an optical modulator including a vibrator and configured to modulate, by the vibrator, the first laser light into second laser light having a different frequency, an optical path switching unit disposed in a first optical path through which the first laser light travels and configured to switch a direction of travel of the first laser light between the first optical path and a second optical path different from the first optical path, a reflector including a light-reflecting surface configured to move along the second optical path and reflect the first laser light traveling through the second optical path, and a photoreceptor configured to receive first interference light of the second laser light and third laser light generated by reflection of the first laser light on an object to be measured, and second interference light of the second laser light and fourth laser light generated by reflection of the first laser light on the light-reflecting surface and output a light-receiving signal.

A laser interferometer includes: a laser light source configured to emit laser light; a light shielding element having an opening through which the laser light passes; an optical modulator configured to modulate the laser light into reference light having a different frequency; and a light receiving element configured to receive object light generated by reflecting the laser light by an object to be measured and the reference light and output a light receiving signal. 0.10≤φ≤10.0, in which φ[mm] is a diameter of the opening.

A frequency shift light modulator includes a resonator and a diffraction grating including a plurality of grooves arranged in parallel in a displacement direction of the resonator, and the diffraction grating is provided on the resonator. By providing the diffraction grating on the resonator, it is easy to realize miniaturization and increase in accuracy of the frequency shift light modulator. Further, it is easy to realize application to a high frequency region in a MHz band, that is, high frequency modulation. It is possible to efficiently obtain an effect based on a combination of the resonator and the diffraction grating.
