A vehicle control system includes an automatic driving control unit executing a first driving mode in which at least one of acceleration/deceleration and steering of a subject vehicle is automatically controlled and an environment control unit controlling an environment device of the subject vehicle such that an environment of the inside of a vehicle cabin is in a state appropriate for a second driving mode in a case in which the automatic driving control unit ends execution of the first driving mode and transitions to a second driving mode of which a degree of automatic driving is lower than that of the first driving mode.

An air bag device has an air bag body, a retainer, a lid member. The retainer has an inner space and a flange portion. The lid member has a base portion and a door portion. An opening portion has a shape with a pair of opposite sides which are facing each other. A dimension in the parallel direction to the opposite side is larger than a dimension in the orthogonal direction to the opposite side. The flange portion has longer side portions and shorter side portions. The longer side portions are fixed on the lid member with a fastening and fixing member in a fastened and fixed portion. The shorter side portions are positioned at the lid member in an engaging portion. The engaging portion has an engaging member, and an engaging hole into which the engaging member is inserted and engaged.

A vehicle control device performs driving mode switching processing from an automated driving mode to a manual driving mode according to the intention of a vehicle occupant of a vehicle. A vehicle control device includes: a switching controller that is configured to switch a driving mode of a vehicle from an automated driving mode to a manual driving mode based on a predetermined manipulated variable of a steering wheel; and a steering reaction force setting unit that is configured to set, according to how a vehicle occupant grips the steering wheel, a steering reaction force applied when the vehicle occupant steers the steering wheel in the automated driving mode.

One object is to enable a preparation period for switching between modes in automated driving to be provided for a vehicle occupant. A vehicle control system includes an automated driving control unit that automatically controls at least one of acceleration/deceleration and steering of a host vehicle, the automated driving control unit performing automated driving control in any one of a plurality of modes having different degrees of automated driving, a detection unit that detects a state of an occupant in the host vehicle, an output unit that outputs notification information on the automated driving control, and a notification condition changing unit that changes a notification condition for outputting the notification information according to the state of the occupant detected by the detection unit.

A vehicle control system includes: an automated drive control unit that performs automated driving where at least one of speed control and steering control of a vehicle is performed automatically, the automated drive control unit executing handover where an automated drive mode is switched to a manual driving mode; a calculating unit that calculates an occurrence frequency of the handover or an occurrence probability of the handover on a traveling route that the vehicle will travel; and a presentation unit that presents the occurrence frequency of the handover or the occurrence probability of the handover that has been calculated, to an occupant of the vehicle.

A glove box for a vehicle includes a lid, which opens and closes an opening portion of a storage box provided in an instrument panel in a closed position of the lid, and a locking claw which is provided at the lid engages with a locking hole provided in the storage box. Accordingly, even if a passenger secondarily collides with the instrument panel and the storage box is deformed at the time of collision of a vehicle, the storage box deforms with the lid, since the rib of the lid is inserted in the locking hole of the storage box, whereby the positional relation of the locking claw of the lid and the locking hole of the storage box is inhibited from changing, and the locking claw can be prevented from being disengaged from the locking hole and opening the lid. The structure is a simple one in which only a pair of ribs are added to the storage box of the existing glove box, and therefore, the structure can be realized at low cost.

A vehicle air bag system, which can facilitate confirmation of a state of an introduction part of an air bag housed in a cover, includes an air bag having an introduction part into which an inflator is inserted, and a general part that inflates and expands vertically downward in a vehicle interior. A cover houses the introduction part and the general part in parallel. An observation window is formed in the cover at a position corresponding to the introduction part.
