A sheet conveyance apparatus includes an apparatus main body, an opening/closing door movably supported by the apparatus main body so as to be capable of opening a conveyance path through which a sheet is conveyed, a sensor lever configured to rotate when pushed by the sheet in the conveyance path, a holder rotatably holding the sensor lever and movably supported by the opening/closing door, a positioning portion provided in the apparatus main body and configured to perform positioning of the holder by coming into contact with the holder, and a sheet detection sensor provided in the apparatus main body and configured to generate a signal corresponding to the position of the sensor lever.

A belt unit for use with an image forming apparatus includes a belt member, a belt supporting unit, and a cleaning unit. The cleaning unit includes attached portions engaged with attaching portions of the belt supporting unit to mount the cleaning unit in an attached position, a connecting portion connectable with a connected portion on the belt supporting unit, and a contact portion that contacts a horizontal surface when the cleaning unit is placed on the horizontal surface. When the belt supporting unit is in a standing state in which one of its side units is directed downward and a direction of rotation axis of supporting rollers is directed in a vertical direction, the cleaning unit is placed on the horizontal surface and the connected portion, and the connecting portion are connected, the cleaning unit maintains the belt supporting unit in the standing state.

An image forming apparatus includes a main assembly, a belt unit detachably mountable to the main assembly, and image forming portions, provided below the belt unit and forming toner images on the belt member. Toner cartridges, provided above the belt unit, supply toners to the image forming portions, and a side plate is provided in the main assembly. In addition, an integrated member is provided on the side plate and includes a guiding member having a guiding portion for guiding the belt unit and toner supply passages for permitting communication of the image forming portions with the toner cartridges, respectively. A sheet which entered between a first sheet conveying unit and a second sheet conveying unit is detected by a sheet detecting unit. A loop of the sheet formed with a difference of sheet conveying speeds between the first and second sheet conveying units is detected by a loop detecting sensor. After the sheet detecting unit detected the sheet, if the loop detecting sensor does not detect the loop, a control unit which controls the sheet conveying speed of at least one of the first and second sheet conveying units controls the sheet conveying speed of at least one of the first and second sheet conveying units, thereby reducing an amount of the formed loop.

An image heating apparatus includes a belt unit, a coil unit, a rotatable driving member, and positioning and urging mechanisms. The belt unit includes an endless belt to heat a toner image on a sheet at a nip portion. The coil unit opposes an outer surface of the belt and generates a magnetic flux for heating the belt. The driving member rotates the belt and forms the nip portion with the belt. The positioning mechanism positions the coil unit with respect to the belt unit and includes two positioning portions on each side of the coil unit with respect to a longitudinal direction thereof. In an apparatus including a fixing device configured to be rotated by receiving a driving force from a main body of the apparatus and a drawer configured to draw out of the main body while holding the fixing device, a storage position of the drawer is adjusted to adjust an alignment between a transfer unit and a fixing nip. With the alignment so adjusted, meshing of gears that transmit force to rotate a fixing roller from a driving source of the main body of the apparatus may deteriorate, thus causing a rotational unevenness of the fixing roller. Therefore, an alignment unit configured to adjust an alignment is provided between a fixing support member configured to support a fixing unit and a fixing driving unit driving the fixing unit and a transfer support member configured to support a support member supporting the fixing support member.
