A vehicle brake hydraulic pressure control apparatus (control apparatus), installed in a vehicle reducing a drive torque when the vehicle is at a halt, that includes vehicle holding control sectionfor performing vehicle holding control by holding a brake hydraulic pressure when the vehicle is at a halt. The vehicle holding control sectionis configured to release the holding of the brake hydraulic pressure based on the accelerator operation of a driver when the vehicle is at a halt and, in the releasing of the holding of the brake hydraulic pressure, release the holding of the brake hydraulic pressure completely before the drive torque of the vehicle starts increasing.

Vehicle brake hydraulic pressure control apparatus

A vehicle brake hydraulic pressure control apparatus includes, as a controller, acceleration acquiring section for acquiring an output value of an acceleration sensor detecting a front-rear direction acceleration of a vehicle, limiting section for limiting the magnitude of the output value acquired by the acceleration acquiring section within a predetermined limit value, a filter (control acceleration calculation section) limiting a change of a value output by the limiting section in a predetermined direction, and holding section for determining a holding pressure according to a value output by the filter and, based on the holding pressure, holding the braking force.

A vehicle brake hydraulic pressure control apparatus installed in a vehicle changing a drive torque transferred to a wheel during a halt, includes vehicle holding section for performing vehicle holding control that holds an actual brake hydraulic pressure applied to the wheel during a halt and storage section for storing a holdable hydraulic pressure capable of holding the halt state of the vehicle before and after the drive torque changes during a halt, in which when determining that the actual brake hydraulic pressure is less than the holdable hydraulic pressure (first hydraulic pressure P) at a start (time t) of the vehicle holding control, the vehicle holding section increases the actual brake hydraulic pressure to the holdable hydraulic pressure and holds the holdable hydraulic pressure.

A target control value of the brake fluid pressure generated in dependence on the braking operation amount is set by using a first coefficient determined in dependence on the vehicle speed in an early phase of a braking operation performed by a vehicle operator and a second coefficient determined in dependence on the braking operation amount and the vehicle speed during a later braking action. The increase in the braking force for the buildup control can be restrained in an early phase of the braking operation so that the onset of deceleration in an early phase of the braking action for the given braking operation can be made gradual in a manner corresponding to the vehicle speed while a favorable buildup control is achieved by increasing the deceleration as the vehicle speed decreases in the course of the braking action.

Brake hydraulic pressure is appropriately prevented from becoming lower than a reference brake pressure for holding control. When a physical amount correlating with the rotational speed of an electric motor has become higher than or equal to a predetermined value, an HSA start reference pressure setting unit sets an HSA start reference pressure to a value higher than a reference brake pressure, and if the HSA start reference pressure at a time when a driver required fluid pressure has become lower than the HSA start reference pressure is higher than the reference brake pressure, an HSA required fluid pressure setting unit sets an HSA required fluid pressure at a time when the driver required fluid pressure has become lower than the HSA start reference pressure to a value higher than the reference brake pressure.

Brake hydraulic pressure control system for vehicle

A vehicle brake force generation device is provided with an electric motor for applying drive force and regenerative brake force to the wheels of an electric vehicle, a brake hydraulic pressure generation device for generating the brake hydraulic pressure to be applied to the calipers of the electric vehicle, a slip information computation unit for computing the slip information of the wheels, a VSA device for controlling the friction braking of at least the brake hydraulic pressure generation device such that the slipping of the wheels is inhibited, a first diagnosis unit for diagnosing the VSA device, and a brake control unit for controlling the cooperative braking which includes controlling the regenerative braking of the electric motor and/or controlling the friction braking of the brake hydraulic pressure generation device.
