A battery charging system designed to charge a battery, especially a nickel-cadmium (Ni-Cd) battery from a lead acid power supply without overcharging, and to charge uniformly a plurality of batteries in parallel. A non-linear resistance is utilized and is matched to the voltage difference of the power supply battery and the batteries being charged.

Battery charging system

A radio control system having a radio-controlled model toy on which a d-c power supply, a receiver and two electric motors are mounted, and a transmitter for maneuvering the radio-controlled model toy, and characterized in that the transmitter is constructed so that a control pulse signal having a pulse level representing signal '1' and a pulse level representing signal '0' is transmitted and the duration of the signal '1' pulses is increased or decreased, and that the receiver is constructed so that driving current is supplied to a motor during the signal '1' pulse duration and to another motor during the signal '0' pulse duration.

Radio motor control system

A power source unit in which a plurality of rapidly chargeable and dischargeable batteries having low internal resistance are connected in series to form an integral battery assembly, characterized in that a thermal responsive device is incorporated in the power supply unit, and an electric current flowing in the batteries is limited by changes in the state of the thermal responsive device when the temperature in the batteries of the unit is increased.

In reference to a chargeable battery of the type which can be charged rapidly and afford big discharge current when in use, a battery equalizing system is disclosed for equally charging each component cell of the battery to avoid inverse charging and deterioration due to it.

Battery equalizing system

An automatic circuit breaker senses the remaining charge in series connected batteries driving a motor whose rotor shaft bearing and stator are rotatably supported by a fixed member, sensing the reaction torque of the motor. The power circuit is broken when the reaction torque drops below a predetermined value indicating that at least one of the batteries has discharged beyond a certain point to prevent reverse charging of the discharged battery.
