The disclosed lithium secondary battery includes: a cathode; an anode; a separator interposed between the cathode and the anode; and an electrolyte, wherein the electrolyte includes: a lithium salt; and a solvent including a perfluorinated ether-based solvent, fluoroethylene carbonate (FEC), and ethylmethyl carbonate (EMC).

Disclosed are an electrolyte for a lithium secondary battery and a lithium secondary battery including the same. The electrolyte for the lithium secondary battery includes a lithium salt, a solvent component and an additive including one or more of the following compounds, wherein each of R, Rand Ris independently hydrogen, an alkyl group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms, a cycloalkyl group having 3 to 20 carbon atoms, an aryl group having 6 to 30 carbon atoms, or an arylalkyl group having 6 to 30 carbon atoms.
