Light-emitting electronic textile with light-diffusing member

The present invention relates to a light emitting device () comprising a light emitter () and a support () to which a plurality of protruding fibers () are attached. The light emitter () and the protruding fibers () are arranged to interact with light emitted from the light emitter () so that the light may be diffused. The plurality of protruding fibers comprises fibers () which are inclined or perpendicular in relation to the support ().

Lighting system

The invention relates to an electronic textile comprising a textile substrate having a substrate electrode, and an electronic component having a component electrode. The component electrode is in electrically conductive contact with the substrate electrode via a coupling layer having a directionally dependent conductance so as to preferentially allow an electrical current to flow between the substrate electrode and the component electrode. As the coupling layer does not have to be patterned to prevent the occurrence of parasitic electrical currents, the electrically conductive contact between the substrate electrode and the component electrode has an improved reliability.

Electronic textile

An illuminator includes a substrate, a structured conductive layer applied to one surface of the substrate, and at least one light source connected to the structured conductive layer. The illuminator further includes an unstructured reflective layer applied on top of the structured conductive layer. The unstructured reflective layer has an essentially continuous extension at least in a surrounding of the at least one light source.

A composite multi-color light emitting diode device includes a first light emitting diode unit and a second light emitting diode unit that is arranged on top of the first light emitting diode unit for emitting two different wavelengths of electromagnetic radiation. A third light emitting diode unit may be arranged on top of the second light emitting diode unit, thereby providing a stack of three light emitting diode units. Alternatively, the third light emitting diode unit may be arranged on the first light emitting diode unit, thereby providing two light emitting diode units side-by-side on top of the first light emitting diode unit.

An LED module is described with a basemade out of a heat conducting material. An LED element () is arranged in a cavity () of the base. A collimator reflector () is formed by reflective surfaces (). Three of these reflective surfaces () are provided on a plastic insert () received in the cavity (). A further reflective surface () is provided on the base () itself. This surface () has a straight border line (). The collimator reflector () is arranged to reflect light from the LED () so that a cut-off () is formed by the straight border line (). By thus integrating the cut-off, as the most critical optical element, into the base () itself, high accuracy is achieved.
