A compacting mechanism for fitting a surface over a refuse container comprising a support member () for fitting to the surface, the support member having an aperture () which in use is in register with an aperture in the surface. A compacting plate () is mounted under the support member, and is coupled to an actuator rod () through the aperture in the support member such that the rod may be manoeuvred from a storage position wherein the rod lies along the support member across the surface and the plate is drawn up under the surface to an operative position wherein the rod stands upright over the aperture in the support and may be pushed downwardly through the registering apertures to push the plate down into the container.

A plant watering device for use in a growing medium, which comprises a base with an open top liquid receiving section with a discharge inlet aperture located therein. A medium engaging section is connected to the base and has a discharge outlet aperture communicating with the inlet aperture. A contamination prevention member for preventing contamination of the dispensing aperture is located adjacent thereto. A container with a discharge spout has an amount of a liquid contained therein and is filled on the base. The discharge spout is positioned into the liquid receiving section. A wick component is mounted in the liquid receiving section to receive the liquid from the container and extends between the inlet aperture and the outlet aperture to automatically deliver the liquid to the outlet aperture and into the growth medium at a controlled rate.

The present invention relates a garment hanger adapted to receive a removable information tab. Such a garment hanger has a body, a hook member connected to the body, a tab holder operatively connected to said hanger. The tab holder has two opposites surfaces, each of said opposite surfaces have an edge, and first, second and third engagement elements. The engagement elements are parallel to one another and are disposed perpendicular to the edge. Furthermore, each of the engagement elements have first, second and third projecting members. The first projecting member is adjacent to the edge of the opposite surface. Each of the engagement elements further have a first valley defined between the first and second projecting elements, and a second valley defined between the second and third projecting element. Finally, each of the engagement elements have a first groove that is defined between the first and third engagement elements and a second groove that is defined between the second and third engagement elements. Such a garment hanger facilitates the installation of an information tab thereon yet being secure against accidental disengagement.

An adjustable box formed from a blank is disclosed. The box has two rectangular sides; a front panel and a back panel. The front panel and back panel each have two pairs of vertical fold lines on one side thereof, the front pair of vertical fold lines being on the opposite side from the back pair of vertical fold lines. Cooperating flaps including a tongue and groove arrangement are provided to close the box at the top and an automatic setup construction is provided to close the box at the bottom. As a result, the box can be folded along an inner fold line of the front and rear pair of vertical fold lines so that the bottom of the box has a first width. Alternatively, the box can be folded along an outer fold line of the front and rear pair of vertical fold lines so that the bottom of the box has a second width which is smaller than said first width. The cooperating flaps and the automatic setup construction must be adjustable so that once the box is closed at the top and at the bottom, and the box is folded along said inner fold line or said outer fold line, the box remains closed while folding the box between a wide configuration and a narrow configuration.

The table assembly comprises a first longitudinally grooved and elongated supporting member disposed substantially vertically. A mounting device removably connects the first supporting member to a fixed structure. A second longitudinally grooved and elongated supporting member is disposed substantially horizontally and bears a table plate at its distal end. The first and the second supporting member are connected together by a brace member. A first locking device is provided between the brace member and the first supporting member for locking the brace member on the first supporting member. A second locking device is provided between the second supporting member and the brace member for locking the second supporting member in the brace member at a selected height. The table assembly is easily adjustable in a wide range of positions and foldable away for storage. It is particularly well adapted for use on locations where space is limited, such as balconies, patios, decks, verandas, mobile homes, boats, etc.
