A heating cooking apparatus including a body, a steam container, a steam heater, and a heater covering portion. The body has a cooking compartment in which food is disposed. The steam container includes a chamber, a water supply portion to supply water into the chamber, and a steam discharge portion to discharge steam generated in the chamber into the cooking compartment. The steam heater has a chamber bottom forming portion that is coupled to a lower end of the steam container so as to cover a bottom of the chamber and adapted to heat water supplied into the chamber. The heater covering portion is configured to cover a rim of the steam heater. Covering the rim of the steam heater using the heater covering portion alleviates the risk of power leakage accidents caused when water at the outside of a steam generator comes into contact with the steam heater.

Steam generator and heating cooking apparatus having the same

The water level sensing unit includes a sensing member having a sensor, the sensing member being installed at a side of the steam container, and a pivoting member having an extension adapted to pivotally rotate about a side thereof having a fixed position on the basis of the level of water. The sensor is adapted to sense positional variation of the extension, to thereby sense variation of the level of water in the steam container.

The steam generator includes a steam container to store water and having at least one steam ejection hole formed at an upper location thereof, a heater adapted to heat the water stored in the steam container so as to generate steam, and a barrier unit provided below the steam ejection hole and adapted to prevent the air bubbles from entering the steam ejection hole. The barrier unit includes a base plate having a plurality of steam passage holes and a web plate coming into close contact with an inner wall surface of the steam container.

A heating apparatus for cooking having a steam-generating device, which is easily cleaned and hygienically used and has improved steam-generating effects. A heating cooker which evenly heats or cooks food, and is easily cleaned, includes a cabinet to define a cooking cavity therein. The cooking cavity is open at a front thereof. A fan chamber is defined by recessing a rear wall of the cooking cavity at a predetermined area to a predetermined depth. An air circulation fan and a heater are installed in the fan chamber. The air circulation fan circulates air of the cooking cavity. The heater heats the air in the fan chamber. A chamber cover is mounted to the rear wall of the cooking cavity to cover an open front of the fan chamber. The chamber cover has a plurality of air suction ports at a central area thereof, with a plurality of air distribution ports provided along an edge of the chamber cover to guide the air from the fan chamber to the edge of the chamber cover so as to discharge the air to the cooking cavity.

Heating cooker

An overheated steam oven which is suitable for home use by simplifying a construction and reducing a size of the overheated steam oven, and which minimizes energy loss by effectively reducing heat loss due to an insulating construction thereof, and which evenly cooks foods and improves cooking efficiency by evenly heating the foods in a cooking cavity. The overheated steam oven of the present invention includes a cabinet to define a cooking cavity therein, an overheated steam generator to supply overheated steam into the cooking cavity, and a steam dispersion unit mounted to a steam inlet port of the cooking cavity to evenly discharge the overheated steam into the cooking cavity while preventing the overheated steam from being directly discharged onto foods.

Overheated steam oven

An overheated steam oven including a cabinet to define a cooking cavity therein, and an overheated steam generator to supply overheated steam into the cooking cavity. The overheated steam generator includes a steam generating vessel of which an outlet is connected to and communicates with the cooking cavity, with a predetermined amount of water contained in the steam generating vessel. A first heater is installed in the steam generating vessel to be immersed in the water contained in the steam generating vessel so as to generate steam, and a second heater is mounted to an upper portion in the steam generating vessel so as to overheat the steam generated by the first heater.

An overheated steam oven which cleans an interior of a cooking cavity of the overheated steam oven using hot water and overheated steam, and executes a cooking operation using the overheated steam. The overheated steam oven includes a cabinet to define the cooking cavity therein, an overheated steam generator to supply overheated steam into the cooking cavity, and a cleaning unit to spray water from an interior of the overheated steam generator into the cooking cavity to clean the interior of the cooking cavity. A control method of the overheated steam oven includes spraying the water into the cooking cavity by use of the cleaning unit in response to a cleaning start signal, thus cleaning the interior of the cooking cavity, and supplying the overheated steam from the overheated steam generator into the cooking cavity after the cooking cavity is cleaned, thus drying the interior of the cooking cavity.

Overheated steam oven and method of controlling the same

An overheated steam oven including a cabinet to define a cooking cavity therein, and an overheated steam generator to supply overheated steam into the cooking cavity. The overheated steam generator includes a first vessel containing a predetermined amount of water therein, and a second vessel of which an upper portion is placed in the first vessel, so that an inlet provided at the upper portion of the second vessel communicates with an interior of the first vessel. The second vessel has an outlet provided at a lower portion of the second vessel and connected to the cooking cavity. The overheated steam generator further includes a first heater which is installed in the first vessel to be immersed in the water contained in the first vessel to generate steam, and a second heater which is installed in the second vessel to overheat the steam generated by the first heater.

A cooking apparatus to improve heating efficiency and to quickly cook food. The cooking apparatus includes a heater provided at a tray receiving food to be cooked and having a pair of terminals to supply power to the heater, and a plurality of sockets provided at a rear wall of a cooking cavity. When the tray is placed on a pair of support rails of the cooking cavity and the terminals of the heater are inserted into one of the sockets, the tray is directly heated by the heater to cook the food. The heater includes a conductive film coated on a lower surface of the tray, and first and second electrodes connected to the conductive film to be opposed to each other and connected to the terminals. The conductive film and the tray are heated by current flowing through the conductive film between the first and second electrodes.
