Two side members are provided so as to be in side portions of a vehicle. Each side member is provided with a kick-up portion curved upward. A cross member is provided so as to interconnect side surfaces of forward portions of the kick-up portions of the two side members. A forward portion of a battery pack is fixed to an upper surface of the cross member via forward brackets welded to the forward portion of the battery pack. A rearward portion of the battery pack is fixed to upper surfaces of rearward portions of the kick-up portions of the two side members via a bridge provided so as to interconnect the two side members.

Mounting structure for storage battery device

A power source pack is arranged on a floor in such a manner that the vehicle front side is positioned higher than the vehicle rear side. Specifically, the front side of the power source pack is placed on a cross member qualified as a structural member that is fixed to traverse the vehicle on the floor. By such a configuration, it is possible to provide a structure for mounting a power source pack that is configured to be less vulnerable to the heat penetrating from a lower surface of the floor to the interior of a cabin even if the power source pack is arranged on the floor.

A structure of a hybrid vehicle includes a battery pack arranged on a floor panel and an exhaust pipe extending from an engine, passing below the floor panel, to an exhaust port. The battery pack has a secondary battery constituted by a plurality of battery cells stacked in a vehicle traveling direction for supplying electric power to a motor, and an intake chamber provided adjacent to the secondary battery in a substantially horizontal direction perpendicular to the direction along which the plurality of battery cells are stacked for supplying cooling air between each of the plurality of battery cells. The exhaust pipe is provided so that it passes immediately below the battery pack and passes a position displaced from a position immediately below the intake chamber. With such a configuration, a structure of a hybrid vehicle that suppresses reduction in the efficiency of cooling a secondary battery without placing a great limit on routing of an exhaust pipe is provided.

Structure of hybrid vehicle

A battery assy is mounted in a luggage room or beneath the rear seat. In the battery assy, a battery pack having a configuration of an approximate rectangle, when viewed from the side of the vehicle, is stored in an inclined manner in a casing formed of a battery cover and a lower case, having a configuration of an approximate parallelogram, when viewed from the side of the vehicle. A resin chamber is provided at a gap in the frontward position and the rearward position of the battery assy. A channel of cooling air is formed at a gap in the upper region and the lower region of the battery assy. The battery assy is mounted such that the bottom is protruding towards the front of the vehicle.

To provide a mounting structure for a vehicle battery pack which prevents damage to the vehicle battery pack and has improved safety, a mounting structure for a vehicle battery pack has a body with a floor panel, a front seat provided on the floor panel, a vehicle battery pack provided under the front seat, and a protection member provided on a vehicle rear side relative to the vehicle battery pack and protecting the vehicle battery pack. The protection member can be fastened to the body.

An arrangement structure of an electric junction box is provided, by which damage of the electric junction box in the event of a collision of a vehicle can be reduced and a plurality of electric wires can be easily connected to the electric junction box with good workability. The arrangement structure includes: a high voltage battery; a battery pack for receiving the battery, the battery pack being mounted on a vehicle; and an electric junction box arranged in the battery pack, the electric junction box being connected to the battery, wherein on the assumption that a collision takes place on the battery pack-mounting side of the vehicle, the electric junction box is arranged on the side of a wall of the battery pack, the wall being situated on the side opposite to the collision side of the vehicle.

Preventing a controller securely from effects of heat or noise of a relay and a high-tension circuit, a synthetic resin inner cover is arranged between a top cover and a bottom cover. A high-tension circuit is arranged between the top cover and inner cover. A control baseboard is provided at the bottom cover. The bottom cover is covered by the inner cover. Thereby, the control baseboard is prevented from being heated by the high-tension circuit by the inner cover. A conductive metallic shielding cover is arranged between the bottom cover having the control baseboard and the inner cover to cover the bottom cover including the control baseboard. Thereby, the control baseboard is prevented from noise of the high-tension circuit. The inner cover and the shielding cover having respectively a flange are fixed on a vehicle body by a bolt to overlap the both flanges.

A battery pack comprises a plurality of rectangular shaped batteries, wherein each of the plurality of rectangular shaped batteries is formed into a thin rectangular-parallelepiped shape, and wherein the plurality of rectangular shaped batteries are stacked side-by-side in a thickness direction, and a pair of pressurizing plates, wherein one of the pressurizing plates is located at each end of the stacked rectangular shaped batteries oriented in the thickness direction, wherein the pressurizing plates are elastically pushed against each other to pressurize the plurality rectangular shaped batteries.

A battery power supply device of the present invention includes a battery pack in which a plurality of battery modules each includes a plurality of cells which are serially connected together both electrically and mechanically, the plurality of battery modules housed in a holder, and the battery power supply device is structured so that a cooling medium flows around each cell and/or each battery module; the battery back is provided with a plurality of vent holes having different aperture areas which are distributed over at least one of inlet and outlet sides of the battery pack such that a cooling medium having a substantially uniform flow rate flows around each cell and/or each battery module.

The combined battery of the present invention includes two end plates and a plurality of general cells stacked adjacent each other and bound by two end plates. The general cells are provided with a battery container made of resin, and bound by two end plates with a binding force equal to or lower than a threshold value determined based on the number and the compressibility of the cells and the stiffness of the battery container, in such a manner that no more than a predetermined amount of irreversible deformation will be caused in the battery container.

Electric connecting box

In a battery pack including a plurality of prismatic rechargeable batteries arranged in parallel with ventilation spaces being provided therebetween, the battery pack is constituted so that cooling air is downwardly sent from above the battery pack through the ventilation spaces. In accordance with a temperature detected with a temperature detection sensor attached to the lower end of the rechargeable battery, a blower fan is controlled by a control section. Moreover, a sensor placement concave, which is separated from a space inside a battery case through a thin partition wall, is provided on a bottom wall of the battery case of the rechargeable battery. The temperature detection sensor is placed in the sensor placement concave so as to be pressed against the partition wall.

Cooling device for battery pack and rechargeable battery

A battery pack includes a plurality of prismatic batteries including an electrode plate group and electrolyte housed in a prismatic battery case and being arranged in parallel and integrally bound. A metal plate is integrally embedded in the sidewall of the prismatic battery which is in parallel with the electrode plate group. A heat transfer part protruding from the prismatic battery case is provided at least one side of the metal plate. A heat exchanger is provided such that a heat exchanging surface of the heat exchanger is brought into contact with the heat transfer part protruding from the prismatic battery case of the prismatic battery. Then, the battery pack and the heat exchanger are fixed.

The battery pack is constituted by arranging a plurality of prismatic battery modules adjacently in a condition with coolant passages formed between battery modules and with their side faces of large area being arranged in superimposed manner, and are integrated by tying end plates, arranged at both ends in the direction of arrangement of battery modules tightly together by restraining straps. A plurality of restraining straps are arranged at suitable intervals on the long side face of a battery pack and the restraining straps are constituted of at least one strip of rectangular cross-sectional shape or by round rods or pipe members of circular cross-sectional shape whose dimension in the direction perpendicular to the long side face of battery pack is larger than the dimension in the parallel direction.
