When a voltage is supplied from a voltage supply terminal to a non-inverted input terminal of an operational amplifier, a voltage equal to the supply voltage is input to an inverted input terminal and also to a voltage apply terminal for a load. When PNP transistors constituting a current mirror turn on in response to the applied voltage, a source current flows through one of the PNP transistors to the load, and a mirror current of the source current flows through the other of the PNP transistors to a current measuring terminal. The current driven to the load can be obtained by measuring the mirror current with an amperemeter.

Current measuring circuit for measuring drive current to load

A system and process for efficiently representing an object and allowing the synthesizing of photo-realistic images of the object that depict both diffuse and specular reflections therefrom. This is accomplished using a sparse set of input images and a geometric model of the object. In particular, the reflectance components (i.e., diffuse and specular) are separated out of the input images based on the intensity variation of object surface points. The diffuse reflection component is characterized with a global texture map, while the specular reflection components are used to model the illumination distribution of the environment surrounding the object and to estimate the surface reflectance parameters. This framework provides a very compact representation of the object's appearance. Photo-realistic virtual images of the object from any desired viewpoint can be synthesized using the previously computed global texture map, illumination distribution, and reflectance parameters.

View-dependent image synthesis

To avoid degradation of the acoustic signal radiated from the opening of the ducted horn of a ducted horn type speaker, under influence of the ducted horn, below the characteristic of the speaker itself, and input terminal for receiving an audio signal, a non-recursive digital filter for varying the input audio signal, a power amplifier for amplifying the varied signal, and speaker for replaying the amplified signal are provided. The non-recursive digital filter realizes the inverse characteristic of the transfer characteristic of the ducted horn.

Acoustic replay device

A polarizing beam splitter extracts orthogonally polarized light beams from natural light and distributes those to liquid crystal panels, which modulate polarization states of those polarized light beams in accordance with a luminance signal and chrominance signals of video signals, respectively. The modulated light beams are combined by the same polarizing beam splitter, and the combined light is enlarged and projected onto a screen by a projection lens, to reproduce a projected image.

Projector apparatus

In an automatic frequency control circuit for synchronizing a horizontal deflection current of a television receiver with a horizontal sync signal, a bi-level signal which assumes either of two levels when the flyback pulse is or below a threshold value is produced, and a wider sync signal in synchronism with the horizontal sync signal and having a pulse width wider than the horizontal sync signal and equal to an odd multiple of the operating clock period is also produced. A phase comparator detects the difference in the number clock periods between a period period from a leading edge of the wider sync signal to an edge of the bi-level signal, and a period from the edge of the bi-level signal to a trailing edge of the wider sync signal. The detected difference is used to control a VCO. In an alternative configuration, a digital signal indicative of a magnitude of the flyback pulse during its rising or falling slope at an edge of the horizontal sync signal is produced and used for control of the VCO.
