A tank made of resin capable of enhancing freedom of a tank shape and improving an ease of installation in a vehicle body. The tank made of resin is provided with a tubular projection projecting to an inside and an outside of a wall surface of a tank body that has a barrier layer, and an end edge part of the barrier layer is molded integrally with an outer peripheral resin part of the tubular projection.

A tank made of resin provided with a barrier layer, which prevents the barrier layer from rolling up and has improved durability. In a tank made of resin that includes a barrier layer provided on an inner surface of a tank body made of resin, an opening part is provided in the barrier layer, a thick part projecting toward an inside or an outside of the tank body is provided in a resin layer at an outer peripheral part of the opening part, and the barrier layer and a casting flange part at a base of an oil filling port tubular part are molded with the resin of the tank body in a state in which the casting flange part is located at the thick part.

A resin tank and a method for manufacturing a resin tank in which positional deviation and deformation of an inserted member is prevented. The present invention provides an attachment structure of a fuel cut-off unit (U) that is provided in a fuel tank () of a saddle-type vehicle (), includes a breather passage () for discharging volatile fuel to the outside, and includes a valve device () for cutting off outflow of liquid fuel. The fuel cut-off unit (U) includes an accommodation container () constituted of a fitting portion (U) which is inserted into the fuel tank () at the time of attachment to the fuel tank () and a unit exterior portion (U) which is positioned outside the fuel tank (). A first locking portion () for performing positioning at the time of attachment to the fuel tank () is formed in the fitting portion (U). A penetration hole (C) penetrating from the inside to the outside such that the fitting portion (U) is inserted therethrough is formed in the fuel tank (). A second locking portion (F) for fixing the fuel cut-off unit (U) by causing the first locking portion () to be engaged from an inner side of the fuel tank is provided in a circumferential edge portion of the penetration hole (C).

A resin-made fuel tank includes: a resin-made fuel tank body provided by bonding an upper half body and a lower half body to each other; and a barrier sheet layer provided on an inner surface of the fuel tank body and provided for reducing permeation of fuel from the fuel tank body, wherein an edge of the barrier sheet layer is disposed in a vicinity of an upper bonding surface and a lower bonding surface where the upper half body and the lower half body are bonded to each other in a mating manner, the edge has a bent portion which bends toward an outside of the fuel tank body, and the bent portion is embedded in the fuel tank body at a position spaced apart from the upper bonding surface and the lower bonding surface.

In a resin-made fuel tank of a motorcycle as a saddle riding vehicle where a tank wall is formed of: a resin-made tank body; and a barrier layer formed on an inner surface of the tank body at the time of forming the tank body by injection molding, the barrier layer provided for suppressing permeation of fuel, wherein a semi-cylindrical recessed portion indented toward the inward of the tank is integrally formed with the tank wall, and an activated carbon storing portion of a canister is formed by covering a space which includes the semi-cylindrical recessed portion with a lid member.

Resin-made fuel tank of saddle riding vehicle

An all terrain vehicle includes: an internal combustion engine; a fuel tank; a body frame on which to mount the engine and tank; at least three wheels suspended at the frame and including at least paired left and right wheels; and a canister adsorbing evaporated fuel in the tank. Part of a body cover includes: a vertical wall extending up-down while covering a specified wheel from one of front and rear sides; an upper wall covering the specified wheel from above, extending forward and rearward, and spaced toward an other of the front and rear sides from the vertical wall; and a connection wall inclined while interconnecting an end portion on the vertical wall side of the upper wall and an upper end of the vertical wall. An accommodation space triangular in side view is formed between the connection wall and specified wheel. The canister is disposed in the space.

All terrain vehicle

A resin-made fuel tank includes: a resin-made fuel tank main body provided by joining an upper half and a lower half; a barrier sheet layer that is provided on an inner surface of the fuel tank main body and that reduces permeation of a fuel from the fuel tank main body; and a front mounting stay and rear mounting stays for mounting the fuel tank main body to a vehicle body. The front mounting stay and the rear mounting stays are provided on the fuel tank main body at positions vertically spaced from an upper joint surface and a lower joint surface at which the upper half and the lower half re joined to each other.

A resin-made tank includes a mouthpiece capable of covering an inner peripheral surface, a distal end surface and an outer peripheral surface of the cylindrical filling portion, wherein a fuel tank body has a mouthpiece fixing portion to which a mouthpiece fixing jig is fixed. The mouthpiece has an annular skirt portion that covers the outer peripheral surface. The skirt portion has a fitting portion that is fitted on an upper portion of the outer peripheral surface on an upper portion of the skirt portion, and has a large diameter portion having a larger diameter than the fitting portion on a lower portion of the skirt portion. The mouthpiece has a stay portion extending radially outward of the mouthpiece from the large diameter portion, and a fixing hole, through which the mouthpiece fixing jig passes, is provided in the stay portion.

Resin-made tank

A canister includes a fresh air introducing port for introducing a fresh air into the canister. The fresh air introducing port is opened in a space formed by at least a tank cover. The canister is connected to a drain pipe for draining a liquid in the canister to the outside of the canister. The drain pipe extends rearward at a height same as or higher than a lower end of the tank cover. The drain pipe merges with a supplied-fuel drain pipe and extends to a lower portion of a vehicle. The supplied-fuel drain pipe drains a fuel around a fuel supply port of a fuel tank.

Canister disposing structure of saddle riding vehicle

A saddle-ride type vehicle for enabling the placement of canisters with a required absorption-chamber capacity in a compact manner. The saddle-ride type vehicle includes a head pipe supporting a steering shaft connecting with a handlebar; a vehicle-body frame connecting with the head pipe; a fuel tank placed to the rear of the head pipe and supported on an upper portion of the vehicle-body frame; and a pair of canisters for absorbing evaporated fuel introduced from the fuel tank. The canisters are vertically placed under one side portion of the fuel tank in a position along the vehicle-longitudinal direction.
