A reflective screen includes a light reflecting layer, and a light diffusing layer provided on the light reflecting layer. The light diffusing layer has the diffusion property that in one (A axis) of two perpendicular axial directions on a light diffusion plane, a luminance distribution curve versus incidence angle is asymmetric with respect to the zero-incidence-angle axis, and the side on which the incidence angle (half-luminance incidence angle) with half of a peak luminance on the A axis in the normal direction to the screen plane is small faces in a direction in which external light has the highest strength.

A cassette accommodation case for accommodating therein a cassette containing an information recording medium, a card or the like includes a case body in which the cassette is accommodated, an openable and/or closeable lid molded of transparent plastic, having a lenticular lens on its external surface, and rotatably supported by the case body, a card to be inserted between an inner surface of the lid and the cassette and on which a stereoscopic synthetic picture is printed, the picture forming a 3-dimensional picture when it is seen through the lenticular lens, and a supporting portion formed in the case body so as to support the card such that its printed surface is held at a predetermined portion with respect to the lenticular lens of the lid when the lid is closed.

A recording medium urging pad can urge a recording medium such as a magnetic tape against a recording and reproducing head stably and reliably. A head pad (10) fixed to a supporting member such as a leaf spring (9) comprises a first layer (10a) with a low elastic modulus contacting with a magnetic tape (T) and a second layer (10b) with an elastic modulus higher than that of the first layer (10a) fixed to the leaf spring (9), wherein a thickness (Ta) of the first layer (10a) and a thickness (Tb) of the second layer satisfy the following equation expressed as: ##EQU1## and the first and second layers (10a) and (10b) are bonded by an adhesive (10c).

A tape cassette in which fixed guide pins (9), (10) are disposed at positions in which a wrapping angle at which a magnetic tape is wound around the fixed guide pins (9), (10) when the magnetic tape is transported is reduced that is the position at which the tape wrapping angle does not exceed 40.degree. wherein, a frictional force generated between the fixed guide pins (9), (10) and the magnetic tape (3) when the magnetic tape (3) is transported is reduced as compared with a conventional tape cassette, whereby a load on a motor for transporting the magnetic tape (3) is reduced, resulting in a life of a battery being extended.

Tape cassette

A tape cassette includes a pair of cassette halves and a pair of hubs enclosed between the cassette halves, and about which a recording medium, or tape can be wound. Each cassette half includes a first molded body and a second molded body overlying it. The first molded body has a first principal surface and a first upstanding wall which is perpendicular to the principal surface and forms an integral part thereof and a part of a peripheral surface of the half. The second molded body has a second principal surface which is generally rectangular and overlies the first principal surface, and a second upstanding wall connected to the first upstanding wall to form the peripheral surface of the half therewith, forming an integral part of the second principal surface and surrounding it. The first and second upstanding walls are connected by a junction having a thickness increasing gradually across the thickness of the half.

In order to produce a cassette, such as tape cassette, disc cassette or the like, the following steps are taken. First, fixed and movable dies are prepared which are unitable to define therewithin a shaped cavity. The movable die has at its inner surface a retaining ridge which includes a first portion immediately projected from the inner surface and a second portion immediately projected from the first portion. The second portion has side walls at least one of which has a laterally extending projection at the position remote from the first portion. Second, the fixed and movable dies are coupled to define the shaped cavity therewithin. Third, a plastic material is injected into the shaped cavity in such a manner that the retaining ridge is immersed in the injected plastic material. Fourth, the fixed and movable dies are uncoupled and a cured molded article of the plastic material thus produced is released from the movable die. Due to the unique configuration of the retaining ridge, undesirable burrs which are inevitably produced on the molded article are entirely positioned in a groove which is formed in the article by the retaining ridge.
