A method and apparatus are disclosed. In an example from the perspective of a User Equipment (UE), the UE receives an indication of activation of Cell Discontinuous Transmission (DTX), wherein the Cell DTX is associated with one or more active periods and one or more non-active periods, and the UE is configured with a plurality of Channel State Information Reference Signal (CSI-RS) resources for deriving a CSI report. The UE determines whether to transmit the CSI report based on whether the UE receives a CSI-RS in an active period of the one or more active periods associated with the Cell DTX.

Method and apparatus for reporting channel state information (CSI) under adaptation in a wireless communication system

A method and apparatus are disclosed. In an example from the perspective of a base station, the base station transmits a configuration of a bandwidth part to a User Equipment (UE). The base station determines a subset of frequency resources within the bandwidth part. The base station transmits, to the UE, an indication of one or more allocated resources, within the subset of frequency resources, for a transmission. The base station does not enable interleaved mapping for the transmission.

Method and apparatus for distributed resource allocation in a wireless communication system

Control structures and techniques for transmission time interval (TTI) shortening in wireless communication systems are provided. Exemplary techniques can comprise establishing a UE device connection to a base station having a first TTI, wherein the UE device is configured to employ TTI shortening and has a second TTI different from the first TTI and monitoring a first short physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) region for a scheduled downlink (DL) transmission via the second TTI, wherein a time distribution associated with multiple second TTIs within the first TTI is determined based on a control format indicator (CFI) value indicated via the first TTI. Exemplary techniques can further comprise receiving a DL transmission via the second TTI and transmitting a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARD) acknowledgement (ACK) (HARQ-ACK) feedback on an associated UL channel for HARQ-ACK feedback, wherein for a number of DL transmissions via the second TTI within one of the first TTI on the associated DL, a number of associated UL channels for HARQ-ACK feedback occur within the same one of the first TTI on the associated UL. Further control structures and techniques for TTI shortening for wireless communication systems are described.

Method and apparatus for improving control channel structure in shortened transmission time intervals in a wireless communication system

A method and apparatus are disclosed. In an example from the perspective of a User Equipment (UE), the UE receives an indication from a base station, wherein the indication is indicative of monitoring a power saving signal in one or more monitoring occasions and at least one monitoring occasion of the one or more monitoring occasions is associated with a Discontinuous Reception (DRX) ON duration and is within Active Time associated with the UE. The UE does not monitor and/or skips monitoring the power saving signal in the at least one monitoring occasion. The UE monitors Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH) during the DRX ON duration.

Method and apparatus for monitoring power saving signal in a wireless communication system

A method and apparatus are disclosed, from the perspective of a UE, for transmitting UL RS. In one embodiment, the method includes deriving a first transmit power of a first UL RS based on a first power control mechanism, wherein derivation of the first transmit power based on the first power control mechanism is associated with an uplink data channel. In addition, the method includes deriving a second transmit power of a second UL RS based on a second power control mechanism, wherein derivation of the second transmit power based on the second power control mechanism is not associated with the uplink data channel. Furthermore, the method includes transmitting the first UL RS with the first transmit power. The method also includes transmitting the second UL RS with the second transmit power.

A method and apparatus are disclosed. In an example from the perspective of a User Equipment (UE) configured with uplink (UL) spatial multiplexing and UL skipping, the UE receives, from a base station, two UL grants for a Transmission Time Interval (TTI). The UE generates two Medium Access Control (MAC) Protocol Data Units (PDUs) for the TTI, wherein a first MAC PDU of the two MAC PDUs is able to accommodate all available data of the UE. The UE transmits the two MAC PDUs to the base station.

Method and apparatus for transport block generation with UL spatial multiplexing in a wireless communication system

A method and apparatus are disclosed. In an example from the perspective of a User Equipment (UE), a configuration for monitoring downlink control information (DCI) indicative of a slot format may be received. In some examples, the configuration indicates the UE to monitor a first DCI in a first monitoring occasion associated with a slot and to monitor a second DCI in a second monitoring occasion. The first DCI is indicative of the slot format. Configured transmission and/or configured reception may be performed on one or more symbols when the first DCI is not received in the first monitoring occasion, the second DCI is received in the second monitoring occasion and the second DCI is indicative of the slot format for the slot. The one or more symbols are configured as flexible by a Radio Resource Control (RRC) configuration. The one or more symbols are in the slot.

Method and apparatus for slot format determination in a wireless communication system

A method and apparatus are disclosed, from the perspective of the UE, for reporting channel state information (CSI). In one embodiment, the method includes a UE being configured with at least two CSI-RS (Channel State Information-Reference Signal) resources. In addition, the method includes the UE performing measurements on the at least two CSI-RS resources. The method also includes the UE generating multiple CSIs according to measurements on the at least two CSI-RS resources, wherein at least one CSI corresponds to measurements on more than one CSI-RS resource. In one method, a user equipment (UE) receives a configuration of at least one bandwidth part for a cell. The UE does not perform the reception for the cell when a second bandwidth part of the cell is active.
