A device for the controlled inhalation of therapeutic aerosols comprises means providing individual patient parameters and/or aerosol parameters for the inhalation. The aerosol doses, such as the tidal volume and the respiratory flow, are individually adjusted on the basis of these individual parameters. Thus, the inhalation device may be individually adjusted to the patient to be treated.

Device for the controlled inhalation of therapeutic aerosols

A device for flow rate limitation at low differential pressures, particularly for limiting the volumetric inhalation flow during inhalation of therapeutic aerosols, consists of a housing including an aspiration orifice , an inhalation orifice and a flow passage disposed therebetween. The flow passage has a flat elongate cross-section with flexible large-area walls having a cross-sectional area adapted to be reduced, as a function of the differential pressure prevailing between the inhalation orifice and the aspiration orifice, as well as of the flexibility of the material of the walls, to a size appropriate for a predetermined volumetric maximum inhalation flow.

Method and an apparatus for providing a constant medicine dose for an inhalic application at low inhalic flow

An inhalation device has a container for an aerosol volume inhaled via a channel and a mouthpiece , the container being located within a housing . The aerosol, in particular vitamin A, is introduced from a cartridge into the interior of the container via a nebulizer . The breath flow in the inhalation device is controlled via a control means that keeps the inhalation flow essentially constant during the entire inhalation period.

In a method of and a device for providing a predetermined constant medicament dose for an inhalational administration at a low inhalation flow rate, a closed container is provided which is reducible in terms of volume and comprises a mouthpiece for receiving a predetermined volume of a quantity of medicated aerosol, which is preferably inhalable in one breath, wherein the container is compressed under air-flow control in a direction towards the mouthpiece for preparation of the filling operation, subsequently a means for powder aerosol production is connected to the mouthpiece and finally the container is filled at a high flow rate by air-flow controlled expansion of the container for the introduction of air through the powder aerosol generator.

The invention relates to a device for controlled inhalational administration of controlled-dosage drugs into the lungs, comprising a closed recipient adapted to be charged with a predeterminable aerosol volume and from which the aerosol may be withdrawn by means of a control means for controlling the inhalant flow.

For maintaining the inhalable pulverulent carrier substances and their properties when marker substances and/or active substances are applied, initially the substance to be applied is dissolved in a liquid, then the fluid is vaporized and finally the aerosol droplets are dried for forming aerosol particles whereupon the aerosol particles are whirled for being contacted with the pulverulent substance. The associated device comprises an aerosol generator including on the nozzle-type, ultrasonic or other vaporizer for the substance to be applied, which is dissolved in a liquid, and a drying means for drying the aerosol particles so formed. Moreover, a mixing chamber is provided for receiving pulverulent carrier substance and for establishing a whirling contact thereof with dry aerosol particles circulated and introduced therein.
