A method to extract information from samples taken at different times from a mammalian. These samples are analyzed with respect to one or more analytes giving one or more responses, creating one or more response curves. From this/these response curves is/are changes in the responses calculated as slope, curvatures or mathematical functions. This is especially useful for early detection of acute myocardial infarction.

Method for determining health status by analyzing analytes

An apparatus with a radiation sourcewhich has means for irradiationof electromagnetic radiation with a plurality of wavelengths onto a sensor surfacewhich can support a surface plasmon, and said radiation is reflected onto at least one photosensitive detector, and create reflectance values, characterized by that said wavelengths at said detector are separated by wavelength, forming a wavelength ensemble, in such way that a continuous response signal can be calculated using at least three of said wavelength reflectance values, finding the wavelength closest to the resonance condition and use of adjacent wavelengths to calculate said continuous response signalbeing a function of an effective refractive index at said sensor surface, where, if the resonance wavelength is the first or last of said wavelengths, at least two adjacent wavelengths closest to said closest wavelength to said resonance condition are used to calculate said continuous response signal. The present invention also relates to a method.

SPR apparatus and method

A surface plasmon apparatus includes a light source, a sensor unit for Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) which includes a transparent sensor structure forming at least one wall of a cavity, the wall being defined by a concave inner surface and a convex outer surface, wherein the inner surface is provided with a layer of a conductive material capable of supporting a surface plasmon, a flow structure in the cavity so as to form at least one compartment for sample between the flow structure and the inner wall of the cavity, a detector for detecting reflected light from the sensor unit, and a processing unit.

Surface plasmon apparatus

The invention relates to a sensor unit for a Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) unit, comprising a transparent sensor structure forming at least one wall of a cavity, the wall being defined by a concave inner surface and a convex outer surface The inner surface is provided with a layer of a conductive material capable of supporting a surface plasmon. In the cavity there is provided a flow structure in said cavity so as to form at least one compartment for sample between the flow structure and the inner wall of the cavity. Also, a method for the detection of events at a surface by utilizing surface plasmon resonance is provided. It comprises placing a sample with an analyte of interest in a sensor unit as claimed in claim, and measuring the reflectance from said sensor unit at a single or plurality of angle/angles.

Sensor unit for a surface plasmon resonance (SPR) unit

A two-dimensional imaging surface plasmon resonance (SPR) apparatus for optical surface analysis of a sample area on a sensor surface is disclosed. The apparatus comprises a sensor surface layer of a conductive material that can support a surface plasmon, such as a free electron metal, e.g. gold, silver or aluminum, a source of electromagnetic beams of two or more wavelengths that illuminate a two-dimensional surface area from either the front or the backside of the sensor surface layer, and a detector for simultaneous, or pseudo simultaneous, detection of two or more wavelengths of reflected intensities from the two-dimensional surface area, providing two or more two-dimensional images of the surface area, the two-dimensional images being a function of the effective refractive index at each point on the surface area. The two-dimensional images put together result in a color image. The apparatus is suitable for use in biological, biochemical, chemical and physical testing.
