A method for separation of COfrom the combustion gas from a thermal power plant fired with fossil fuel, wherein the combustion gas from the thermal power plant is used as cooled, compressed and reheated by combustion of natural gas in a combustion chamber to form an exhaust gas, where the exhaust gas is cooled an brought in contact with an absorbent absorbing COfrom the exhaust gas to form a low COstream and an absorbent with absorbed CO, and where the low COstream is heated by means of heat exchanges against the hot exhaust gas leaving the combustion chamber before it is expanded in turbines, is described. A plant for performing the method and a combined plant is also described.

Purification works for thermal power plant

This invention relates to a method for desalination of seawater () and separation of CO2 from exhaust () from a gas turbine (). LNG () is fed into a heat exchanger () in which it receives heat from seawater () and heat from steam () from an exhaust boiler, and heat from combustion air () via a line to an air inlet () of said gas turbine (), for evaporating LNG () to gas which is fed to a gas export module () and to a fuel gas skid () for supplying said gas turbine () with fuel. Thus said combustion air () at the air inlet to said gas turbine () obtains a lowered temperature and increases an efficiency of said gas turbine (). Said CO2-rich exhaust gas () from said gas turbine () is fed into a process unit () having an inlet () with a fan () and an outlet for CO2-reduced exhaust (). Said cooled seawater from said heat exchanger () is fed into said process unit () via a coaxial feed pipe () for seawater and NH4OH arranged in said process unit (). NH4OH is fed into said coaxial feed pipe () and is then mixed with said cooled seawater () and released via a series of nozzles in several vertical levels from said feed pipe () to said process unit's () upwards flowing, rotating exhaust (). By this device a good mixture of NH4OH-containing salt water and CO2-rich exhaust is achieved, for formation of NaHCO3, NH4Cl, and fresh water.

System for production of fresh water and removal of carbon dioxide from exhaust gases

An arrangement for turning a turret on a ship comprises two slides that can glide along a flange arrangement being arranged on a rim of a turret. The slides are moveable by respective hydraulic cylinders and provide support for a rotatable pawl arrangement which can be rotated into and out of engagement with apertures in the rim. The two hydraulic cylinders are arranged as mirror images of each other in order for the cylinders to push the rim in opposite directions. When the turret is turned, one of the hydraulic cylinders, with the associated slide and pawl arrangement, is used to push the rim in the desired direction, while the other hydraulic cylinder with associated slide and pawl arrangement is utilized to hold the rim in a fixed position while the first slide is pulled back in order for the pawl arrangement to engage with a new aperture in the rim.
