A mobile commerce receipt system and method providing a user of a mobile telecommunications terminal with a reliable electronic proof of reservation, purchase and/or payment made. By e-commerce means, the user places an order with a vendor or merchant and makes electronic payment. The vendor issues an electronic contract, sending the contract to a Trusted Third Party (TTP) receipt server. The TTP validates the contract, generates an electronic, digital receipt which is to sent the vendor. The vendor sends the receipt to the mobile terminal of the user, the mobile terminal storing the receipt for subsequent presentation at the point of delivery of the ordered goods or services.

Access to information related to a client terminal is provided to a first web server, the information being stored by a second web server. The first web server is connected to the client terminal via a proxy server. The second web server sends a message, including a cookie, to the proxy server, wherein the cookie comprises a network address of the second web server. The cookie, related to the client terminal, is stored in the proxy server. The proxy server receives a message from the client terminal addressed to the first web server and the proxy server inserts the stored cookie into the received message. The proxy server forwards the received message to the first web server, which uses the cookie to request information from the second web server.

Method for providing information to a web server

A home WAP gateway system is disclosed that provides user selectable access from digital cordless telephone handsets adapted to WAP communications to services of a local home WAP gateway or to services of a remote WAP gateway in a public network. By a switching means responsive to a message from a handset comprising switching information, the system provides a communication path between a communicating handset and a home WAP gateway when the switching information specifies a predefined home WAP gateway path or between a communicating handset and a public or private telephone network when the switching information specifies a different path.
