A device () for the stepwise advancing of workpieces, in which a first swing arm () and a second swing arm () of a drive unit () are respectively designed at each gripping rail () of two gripping rails (), which are arranged in parallel to each other, for detecting and transporting the workpieces in a first end region () and a second end region (), which include a gripping region () between them. The first swing arm and the second swing arm engage with the respective gripping rail () at a distance from one another and movably retain them along a direction of extension of the gripping rail ().

Device for the stepwise advancing of workpieces

A press with gripper rails for grasping and relocating workpieces onto a work table, the gripper rails being movable in a horizontal plane and vertically by a transfer device. The gripper rails are connected to the respective parts of the transfer device by gripper rail couplings, a locking mechanism with a tie rod being provided, which locks or frees the gripper rail coupling. To actuate the locking mechanism, an actuating element is provided which displaces the tie rod between a holding position and a releasing position and which can be actuated by the gripper rail coupling being lowered or raised. Furthermore, the locking mechanism has a spring element which holds the tie rod in the holding position. Finally, the locking mechanism has a latching mechanism with a detent, which fixes the tie rod in the releasing position and which is freed automatically when the gripper rail coupling is being coupled.

Press with a transfer device for the stepwise displacement of the workpieces and with a gripper rail coupling

A device () for the stepped displacement of workpieces inside a press () or similar processing equipment is provided. The device includes at least one or two gripper rails () that can be displaced back and forth in the direction of a longitudinal extent thereof and in the feed direction, the rails being displaced transversely in relation to one another in order to engage workpieces. To execute a gripping movement, the gripper rail () includes levers () that run at an angle and in opposite directions to one another, whereby the ends of the levers that face away from the gripper rail can be displaced towards or away from one another. Pivoting arms (), which together with the levers () form scissors or half scissors type drives, are hinged on the levers () to guide the resultant transverse movement. A scissors drive of this type permits a parallel displacement of the gripper rail (), even where space is limited, without the use of a drive that protrudes beyond the longitudinal extension of the gripper rails ().

Device for the stepped displacement of work pieces

A device ( ) to feed work pieces in steps, for example within a press ( ), using two gripping rails ( ) that can be moved back and forth in the feed direction, that includes at least one feed traverse ( ) that moves perpendicular to itself with which to uniformly feed and return the gripping rails ( ). Coupled to this traverse is at least one tilt arm ( ) that is driven by a servomotor ( ) whose tilt motion is converted to the perpendicular motion of the feed traverse ( ) and thus into the feed and return motion of the gripping rails ( ). There can also be two tilt arms ( ) arranged in a mirror-image fashion.
