In a bone surgery holding device for a fixing rod, with a bone plate, which can be fastened to the bone, a receiving device, and a fixing device, which secures the fixing rod in the receiving device, the bone plate has a contact face essentially made to fit the surface of the bone and the fixing rod can be inserted into the receiving device.

In an osteosynthesis device, a bone plate is secured to a bone with at least two bone screws and the bone screws serve to bear and receive two rods, via which the correction and stabilization of the bones takes place.

An implant for the operative correction of spinal deformity, in particular scoliosis, kyphosis, and lordosis, which is a distraction and compression rod, having at one of its end a ratchet part formed by circumferential saw notches conically broadening toward the top and ending in a flat surface for receiving spinal hooks, a cylindrical part followed by a threaded part, the threaded part being build for receiving the heads of bone screws fixed by nuts, wherein the ratchet part of the rod is used for distraction and the threaded part of the rod is used for compression as well as distraction of the deformed spine.

Implant for the operative correction of spinal deformity

A spinal distraction apparatus has a distraction rod extending along an axis and having in turn a center part, a pair of end parts secured in, extending axially oppositely from, and rotatable about the axis relative to the center part, and a screwthread connection between each of the end parts and the center part. The screwthread connections are of opposite hand so that rotation of the center part in one direction moves the end parts axially toward each other and opposite rotation moves them axially apart. The end parts are axially nondisplaceable relative to the center part except on rotation of same about the axis. Respective anchors axially nondisplaceable on the end parts are adapted to be secured to respective vertebra. Formations between the anchors and the respective end parts prevent rotation of the end parts about the axis relative to the anchors.
