An animal conduit includes a first and a second longitudinal segment. Each segment includes ridges extending inward toward a longitudinal centerline of the animal conduit. The ridges differ in a dimension extending inward and forming a first and second transverse conduit opening dimension that differ.

A pet toy has an outer wall and a first opening in the outer wall that extends into an interior of the pet toy, a portion of the interior being hollow. At least one second opening is defined in the outer wall and functions as a vent to prevent a pet's tongue from becoming inadvertently and harmfully sealed within the first opening.

A method of mounting a squeaker into a hard rubber ball toy. A separate sleeve or shroud is provided that retains a squeaker and forms the noise producing element to be inserted into the rubber toy. The sleeve has a recessed area that tightly mates with an opening in the rubber toy and also includes a bonding surface to secure the sleeve to the toy. The shroud could also be formed with differently sized flanges that extend from a proximate end of the sleeve. An inherent feature of the disclosed structure is that the flanges will cause the noise producing element to be retained within the toy even if the bonding of the shroud to the opening in the toy happens to fail.

A birdcage feeder assembly is configured with a feeding unit, which includes a cup and a transparent shield shaped and dimensioned to minimize the distribution of food debris from the cup, and a holder operative to removably couple the feeding unit to the birdcage.

A birdcage feeding device is provided with a seed chamber, seed cup, and method of attachment. The feeding device comprises an opening that may be opened or closed in order to displace seeds from a feeding chamber to fill a seed cup. The seed cup is designed to be shallow such that seeds do not get buried under layers of empty shells and hulls. The seed cup also has high rear and side walls to guard seeds from being scattered outside by birds. The feeding device may be closed to allow a user to remove the seed cup, without removing the device, for cleaning. A method of attachment is also described that allows the device to be on the outside of the birdcage while being secured from the inside of the cage, thus allowing for easy refilling of the device.

A fastener for the suspension of a birdcage toy or the like has a first end terminating in a first loop, and a second end terminating in a second loop, each of the first and second loops terminating in a free end that allows for easy attachment of objects to the loops. An additional section is defined between the loop free ends to assist in preventing the free ends from deflecting outward, resulting in possible inadvertent detachment from the cage or retained object.
