A see-through security element (), a security document () and a method for producing a see-through security element (). The see-through security element has a first element with one or more transparent first partial areas and at least one reflective second partial area. The see-through security element has a second element with one or more first partial areas, which in each case in transmission form a color filter matched to a respectively assigned color, and has at least one second partial area, which is formed colorless, in particular colorless transparent, or in transmission and/or reflection forms a color filter which is matched to a color which is not assigned to any of the one or more first partial area of the second element. The first partial areas of the first element and the first partial areas of the second element at least partially overlap.

See-through security element

The invention concerns a security element for a security document comprising a structure layer and diffractive first and second relief structures, wherein the relief structures viewed parallel to the plane of the structure layer are arranged in different planes of the security element, wherein the first relief structure adjoins a partial first reflection layer and the second relief structure adjoins a partial second reflection layer, and wherein&#x2014;if the first reflection layer is towards a viewer&#x2014;a second item of information generated by the second relief structure is at least partially concealed and&#x2014;if the second reflection layer is towards the viewer&#x2014;a first item of information generated by the first relief structure is at least partially concealed, and processes for the production of such security elements and security documents formed therewith.

Security element for a security document and process for the production thereof

The invention concerns a security and/or value document, in particular a banknote. The security and/or value document has a support () of a paper material and an in particular strip-form or thread-form film element () which contains one or more optical security features. The support () has one or more window-shaped openings () which are closed by means of the film element () which projects beyond the openings on all sides. Applied to the side of the support () of a paper material, which is in opposite relationship to the film element (), is a sealing layer () which covers the surfaces of the film element () at least in the region of the openings.

Security and/or valuable document

There is proposed a transfer foil which makes it possible for decorative layer arrangements as are known from hot stamping foils to be transferred onto a substrate without a high level of material expenditure. For that purpose the carrier film of a hot stamping foil is fixedly joined by means of a permanent adhesive to the base foil.

Transfer foil for applying a decorative layer arrangement to a substrate

Described is a process for the region-wise transfer of a decorative layer of a transfer foil, which includes an activatable adhesive layer from a carrier film onto a substrate, wherein the adhesive layer of the transfer foil is partially activated before the actual stamping operation, more specifically in such a way that the adhesive layer experiences activation only in the surface regions in which the decorative layer is to be transferred onto the substrate. A transfer foil which is particularly suitable for that process has an absorption layer in the surface regions of the decorative layer, which are to be transferred onto the substrate, which absorption layer absorbs the radiation energy causing activation of the adhesive layer and activates the adhesive layer under the action of the absorbed radiation energy.
