An aluminum alloy sheet product or extruded product for fluxless brazing, including an aluminum alloy core having on at least one face an aluminum filler clad layer containing 4% to 15% of Si, the filler clad layer having an inner-surface and an outer-surface, the inner-surface is facing the aluminum alloy core and the outer-surface is facing a coating layer of 2 to 45 mg/sq&#xb7;m of Bi or of a Bi-based alloy. Furthermore, a method of brazing a brazed assembly incorporating at least one member made from the brazing sheet material.

A fin stock material from an 3xxx-series aluminum alloy and including at least 0.5% to 2.0% Mn, and furthermore a purposive addition of one or more wetting elements selected from the group of: Bi 0.03% to 0.5%, Pb 0.03% to 0.5%, Sb 0.03% to 0.5%, Li 0.03% to 0.5%, Se 0.03% to 0.5%, Y 0.03% to 0.05%, Th 0.03% to 0.05%, and the sum of these elements being 0.5% or less, with the remainder including aluminum and tolerable impurities. Also provided is a method for manufacturing a heat exchanger assembly incorporating such a fin stock material.

Extruded 3XXX-series aluminium alloy tube product

A multi-layered brazing sheet with improved long life corrosion resistance achieved by balancing the Zn, Cu, Mn, Si and Mg content of the core and interliner alloy. The brazing sheet has a core of a 3xxx alloy, an inner braze cladding of a 4xxx alloy, and between core and inner braze cladding an interliner of a 3xxx alloy. The 3xxx alloy of the core has 0.55-1.0 wt % Cu, 0.7-1.8 wt % Mn, &#x3c;0.3 wt % Mg, &#x3c;0.4 wt % Zn. The 3xxx alloy of the interliner has &#x3c;0.25 wt % Cu, 0.5-1.5 wt % Mn, &#x3c;0.3 wt % Mg, 0.1-5.0 wt % Zn. A 1xxx or 7xxx alloy could be used for the interliner instead of the 3xxx alloy.

Disclosed is a process for producing an Al&#x2014;Mn alloy sheet with improved liquid film migration resistance when used as core alloy in brazing sheet, including the steps of: casting an ingot having a composition comprising (in weight percent): 0.5&#x3c;Mn&#x2266;1.7, 0.06&#x3c;Cu&#x2266;1.5, Si&#x2266;1.3, Mg&#x2266;0.25, Ti&#x3c;0.2, Zn&#x2266;2.0, Fe&#x2266;0.5, at least one element of the group of elements of 0.05&#x3c;Zr&#x2266;0.25 and 0.05&#x3c;Cr&#x2266;0.25; other elements &#x3c;0.05 each and total &#x3c;0.20, balance Al; homogenisation and preheat; hot rolling; cold rolling (including intermediate anneals whenever required), and wherein the homogenisation temperature is at least 450&#xb0; C. for a duration of at least 1 hour followed by an air cooling at a rate of at least 20&#xb0; C./h and wherein the pre-heat temperature is at least 400&#xb0; C. for at least 0.5 hour.
