The rotor () is fixed to the rotor axle () for driving the impeller (). A rotor can () accommodates the rotor (). The rotor can () includes a rotor can flange (). An electronics housing () has a cap () including a first material () forming a front face () of the cap (). The front face () extends essentially perpendicular to the rotor axis (R). The first material () is at least partially overmolded with a second material () at an inner side of the cap (). The second material () is more heat-conductive than the first material ().

Pump assembly

A pump assembly () includes a rotor axle () extending along a rotor axis (R), an impeller () fixed to the rotor axle (), a pump housing () accommodating the impeller (), and a drive motor including a stator () and a rotor (). The rotor () is fixed to the rotor axle () for driving the impeller (). A rotor can () accommodates the rotor (). The rotor can () include a rotor can flange (). A stator housing () accommodates the stator (). The stator housing () is secured to the pump housing () by a bayonet ring (). The bayonet ring () is resiliently spring-loaded for axially biasing the stator housing () towards the impeller () against the pump housing ().

A pump assembly () includes an impeller with a rotor axis (R). A pump housing () accommodates the impeller. A drive motor with a stator () and a rotor () drives the impeller (). A rotor can () accommodates the rotor (), and a stator housing () accommodating the stator (). The rotor can () is mounted by a first coupling to the pump housing (). The stator housing () is mounted by a second coupling to the pump housing (). The first coupling is located closer to the rotor axis (R) than the second coupling.

A pump assembly () includes an impeller () with a rotor axis (R), a pump housing () accommodating the impeller (), a drive motor with a stator () and a rotor () for driving the impeller (). A pump assembly () includes a pump unit () capable of providing a desired head (H) at zero flow rate, a brushless speed-controlled permanent-magnet AC drive motor () for driving the pump unit (), and a control unit for controlling the drive motor (). The control unit includes a frequency converter configured to receive an input voltage (U). The drive motor () is operable in a field-weakening mode and non-field-weakening mode. The drive motor () is undersized for driving the pump unit () at a design input voltage (U) to provide a lower head (H) than the desired head (H) at zero flow rate in the non-field-weakening mode and for driving the pump unit () to provide the desired head (H) at zero flow rate in the field-weakening mode.

Pump assembly and controlling method

A pump assembly () includes a pump unit (), an electrical drive motor () for driving the pump unit (), and a control unit () for controlling the drive motor (). The control unit () includes a frequency converter (), a voltage converter () and a controller (). The voltage converter () is configured to provide an input voltage (U) to the frequency converter (). The input voltage (U) is adjustable within a voltage range between a minimum input voltage (U) and a maximum input voltage (U). The controller () is configured to determine an actual power consumption of at least one of the drive motor (), the frequency converter () and the voltage converter () during operation of the pump unit (). The controller () is further configured to tune the input voltage (U) depending on the determined actual power consumption during operation of the pump unit ().

The invention relates to a sensor for switching a pump on and/or off, with at least one first and a second electrode, which form a capacitance which may be influenced by way of the fluid to be delivered, and with evaluation electronics connected to the electrodes, wherein the evaluation electronics has a voltage supply which is connected to the first electrode and which is designed for providing short voltage pulses for charging the first electrode, and comprises an evaluation circuit which is designed in a manner such that during a voltage increase on charging and/or a voltage reduction on discharging the electrode, it detects the current between the electrodes and emits a switch-on signal and/or switch-off signal depending on the detected current, as well as to a pump with such a sensor.
