A polyester film which is provided with a permanent, antistatic coating on one surface, which coating is obtained by treating the biaxially stretch-oriented and heat-set film with an aqueous dispersion, containing at least one copolyester containing sulfonate groups, and at least one salt derived from an amino acid or a protein hydrolysate and having a diazotype reproduction layer on the opposite surface of the film.

Polyester film

A polyester film which is provided with a permanent, antistatic coating on one surface, which coating is obtained by treating the biaxially stretch-oriented and heat-set film with an aqueous dispersion, containing at least one copolyester containing sulfonate groups, and at least one salt derived from an amino acid or a protein hydrolysate. The material can be used in the production of diazo duplicating films.

Disclosed is a drafting material comprising a transparent base material with a hydrophilic coating which readily accepts ink, ensures rapid drying of the ink and can be marked in a wipe-resistant manner. The hydrophilic coating of the drafting material includes sulfonate group-containing copolyesters which are preferably present in an amount of 30 to 70 percent by weight. The drafting material can be marked with felt-tip pens containing aqueous inks.

Disclosed is a drafting material comprising a plastic support having on at least one surface thereof an adhesive layer, a layer of pigmented or clear lacquer and a top layer which includes a homo- or copolymer of vinyl acetate and an antistatic agent, wherein the antistatic agent contained in the top layer is a polyamino/polyamide resin modified with an epihalohydrin, preferably epichlorohydrin, the resin being a condensation product of at least one aliphatic dicarboxylic acid or polymeric carboxylic acid and at least one polyamine.

Disclosed is a plastic film which is provided on at least one surface with an antistatic coating. The coating is comprised of either a polyamino/polyamide resin modified with an epihalohydrin, in particular, epichlorohydrin, which acts as the antistatic agent, or of the antistatic agent together with a binder which is soluble in aqueous-alcohol solutions or is dispersible in water. The polyamino/polyamide resin preferably is a condensation product of an aliphatic saturated, dibasic carboxylic acid having at least three carbon atoms and a polyamine.

Plastic film

Disclosed is a drafting film which comprises a plastic base provided on at least one surface with an adhesive layer and a pigmented coating system which comprises a pigmented layer and a top layer or a pigmented layer alone. In particular, the pigmented coating system comprises an acrylate or methacrylate copolymer comprising at least 50 percent by weight of an ester monomer, the alcohol component of which has a chain length of at least four carbon atoms, an antistatic agent comprising a polymeric sulfonic acid salt in combination with homopolymers or copolymers of vinyl acetate, or partially hydrolyzed polyvinyl acetate, cross-linking agents and delusterants. Also disclosed is the use of the drafting film for producing diazo sensitized film.

Drafting film

A two-component diazotype material, composed of a support and a light-sensitive layer which is applied thereto and contains a polymeric binder, a diazonium salt, a coupler, an acid stabilizer and conventional additives, wherein the support is a biaxially oriented polyester film and the polymeric binder comprises a mixture of about 10-60 percent by weight of a polymer or copolymer of vinyl acetate, for example, a copolymer of vinyl acetate and crotonic acid, and about 40-90 percent by weight of a cellulose ester, such as cellulose acetopropionate, cellulose acetobutyrate, cellulose propionate or cellulose butyrate.

This invention relates to a recording material containing diazo compounds, in particular a microfilm, comprising a film base which is at least partially pervious to visible radiation, a light-sensitive layer and, on the reverse side of the film base, a filter layer which absorbs light in the long-wave ultraviolet spectral range and in the short-wave visible spectral range, wherein the filter layer is composed of a polymer which is insoluble or has been rendered insoluble by cross-linking, and of at least one yellow to orange-colored dye which is compatible with the constituents of the polymer and absorbs light in the range between about 360 nm and about 500 nm. Drawing layer for plastic films

This invention relates to a composition comprising a blend of a copolyester, a polyisocyanate and a compatible organic polymer, the ratio by weight of polyester to polymer being within the range of from about 20 : 1 to 0.5 : 1 by weight. The invention also relates to a laminate including the novel composition.
