The present invention relates to a process for producing colored plastics molding compositions with aqueous liquid colors, where an aqueous liquid color is added to a molten plastics molding composition. The present invention also describes a system for conducting the said process.

Process and system for colouring plastics moulding compositions

A reactive mixture for coating mouldings by means of reaction injection moulding, containing at least 40% by weight of (meth)acrylates having at least two double bonds. The reactive mixture contains at least one photoinitiator and at least one thermal initiator. The present invention furthermore describes a coated moulding including a moulding which is obtainable by injection moulding processes and includes at least one polymer selected from polymethyl methacrylate, polymethylmethacrylimide, styrene-acrylonitrile copolymer, styrene-maleic acid copolymer and polymethyl methacrylate copolymers, and a coating which is obtainable by polymerization of (meth)acrylates having at least two double bonds. The coating has an adhesive strength rating of not more than 1 according to the cross hatch test and a decrease in gloss at 20&#xb0; after a scratch resistance test according to ASTM 1044 (12/05) (applied weight 500 g, number of cycles=100) of not more than 10%.

A reactive mixture for coating moldings by reaction injection molding includes at least 40% by weight of (meth)acrylates having at least two double bonds. A molding compound comprises a copolymer (I)a), produced by polymerization of 90-100% by weight methylmethacrylate, styrene and malic acid anhydride, and optionally 0-10% by weight additional monomers which can be copolymerized with methylmethacrylate, a (co)polymer (II)b), produced by polymerization of 80-100% by weight methylmethacrylate and optionally 0-20% by weight additional monomers which can be copolymerized with methylmethacrylate, and has a solution viscosity in chloroform at 25&#xb0; C. (ISO 1628 Part 6) of 50 to 55 ml/g, as well as c) optional conventional additives, auxiliary agents and/or fillers. The molding compound is characterized in that the copolymer (I) has a solution viscosity in chloroform at 25&#xb0; C. (ISO 1628 Part) of 55 ml/g or less. Also disclosed are moldings produced by thermoplastic processing of the molding compound and their uses.

The present invention relates to weathering-resistant, colored moldings made of poly(alkyl)(meth)acrylate with improved gloss and resistance to mechanical influences acting on the surface of the molding, in particular with improved wipe resistance and improved scratch resistance, and also to molding compositions for producing the same.
