Cartridge having a housing which includes a lower cartridge part and an upper cartridge part. The lower cartridge part and the upper cartridge part are connected together. Each of the lower cartridge part and the upper cartridge part include side walls and a recess which is adapted to receive a tape guiding pin. A reel is rotatably mounted in the housing. A tape guiding pin clasp fixes the tape guiding pin in the recesses of the lower cartridge part and the upper cartridge part. The tape guiding pin is located in a region of a tape exit opening that is located in a corner of the housing. The tape exit opening is adapted to be closed by a sliding door. The tape guiding pin clasp includes a mechanism that secures at least one side wall of the lower cartridge part to at least one side wall of the upper cartridge part. The tape guiding pin clasp engages with and secures together the at least one side wall of the lower cartridge part and the at least one side wall of the upper cartridge part.

Magnetic-tape cartridge includes a substantially rectangular housing. At least one tape reel is rotatably mounted in the housing. The at least one tape reel is configured to receive wound magnetic tape. A first part is axially movably mounted in a center of the at least one tape reel. A second part is non-rotatably mounted and axially movably mounted to a housing wall of the cartridge via a spring. The first part is movable between a resting position and an operating position in which the first part moves the second part against the biasing force of the spring. A cassette with a recording medium, in particular a magnetic recording medium, is designed with a displaceable identification part which can be pushed into the cassette housing. For this purpose, a web is provided behind a cassette opening in a cassette wall, which web runs at an angle with respect to the cassette wall. It is also possible to provide a web which is approximately parallel to the cassette wall, and the identification part, designed as a slide, is provided with a front beveling, in the opening sliding direction, in order to push the slide partially past the edge of the cassette wall located in the opening direction. The cassette can be used for recording/reproducing signals of any type, and any functions of the associated cassette apparatus can be controlled indirectly by the positionally displaceable identification part.

A container having a viewing window essentially comprises a housing with a window which can be fastened to it and is designed in one part as a transparent part and in another part as a masking part, in particular in the edge region. The aim is to cover over the fastening points. In addition, the advantage is obtained of using windows with a wide variety of maskings for the same housing, provided that the contours of the cutout and of the outline of housing and window are adapted at least substantially to one another. The plastic container with windows can be used for all packing and archiving purposes, in particular also as a cassette with a recording medium, for example a magnetic tape cassette.

An environmentally appropriate protective covering for articles, in particular rectangular parallelepipedal bodies, comprises a container receiving the article or rectangular parallelepipedal body, if appropriate is of a rectangular parallelepipedal form and is closed by means of an at least three-part, partly separable closure strip. For opening, the central part is separated from the side parts, which remain on the container. The presence or absence of the central part consequently represents an indication of originality. The closure strip can also be used advantageously in the case of a protective covering unit, comprising a plurality of stacked containers, for connecting and forming a pack. The invention can be used advantageously in any application where a single closure strip can be used to economize on outer packaging materials.

A container for a tape cassette of approximately parallelepiped form having an elevated head part is formed with a bottom wall and a lid wall which can move with respect to each other by means of hinge devices. In this arrangement, if appropriate, one of said walls is provided with a pocket for receiving the elevated head part and has a decreasing wall thickness along its transverse axis from its outer longitudinal edge in the direction of the axis of the hinge devices or of the pocket. The other wall may likewise have a wall thickness decreasing in the same direction. The inner face of the wall provided with the pocket may also be arranged parallel, at least with respect to the inner face of the front wall of the pocket. The container can be used advantageously for any cassette of the type more precisely specified above for audio, video and/or data recording, since a minimal overall height of the container is achieved with minimal use of material.

A pressure device for recording media in tape form, in particular magnetic tapes, has at least one pressure element and comprises a support element. When the device is actuated by the head coming to bear, a deflection of the device takes place, and a pressing against the recording medium is effected automatically by at least one extension of the support element, this pressing ending automatically when the head is no longer in bearing contact. The bearing pressure may take place directly on the tape rear side or tape front side, or else indirectly on the tape front side or the tape rear side or both sides simultaneously. Pressing and/or antifriction and/or cleaning elements may also be arranged, at least partially, fixed in place with respect to the tape. The invention can be used in the case of all cassettes, film and magnetic-tape systems.

A container for at least two separate articles with separate receiving spaces, the dividing wall being movable and it being possible as a result to vary the momentary size of the receiving spaces, thereby also facilitating the accessibility and removability of the articles. A magnetic tape cassette is provided with a raised housing part. The conventional two-part housing of such a cassette is formed by essentially planar housing parts connected to one or more third separate housing parts which can be suitably connected to and/or can connect the planar housing parts. The position of the tape guide elements can be improved for all cassettes of this raised housing part type.
