A composite pane for separating an interior space from an external environment, includes an inner pane, an outer pane with an inner surface, and an intermediate layer that areally joins the inner surface of the outer pane to an outer surface of the inner pane, a capacitive sensor for detecting moisture having at least one capacitor that is connected to an electronic sensor unit, which is provided for detecting a change in capacitance of the capacitor, wherein the capacitor has at least two electrodes formed from a transparent, electrically conductive coating, which are capacitively coupled.

A laminated glass pane having a sensor assembly is presented. According to one aspect, the laminated glass pane has a first and a second glass layer that are connected via a combination film, and the sensor assembly is at least partially situated between the first and the second glass layers. According to another aspect, the sensor assembly includes a receiver antenna for supplying electromagnetic power to the sensor assembly and a transmitter antenna for transmitting information of the sensor assembly to a receiver unit situated outside the laminated glass pane. The sensor assembly includes a sensor and an evaluation unit that evaluates information from the sensor for transmission by the transmitter antenna.

A laminated motor-vehicle windshield includes two glass sheets that are joined together by an interlayer made of a thermoplastic of refractive index n. The thermoplastic interlayer includes a cut-out section in the upper portion of the windshield. The cut-out section is filled with a multilayer film forming a waveguide for guiding waves from a bottom point of entrance of light radiation on the face of the windshield exposed to the exterior of the vehicle to a top point of exit of the radiation on the face of the windshield arranged toward the passenger compartment of the vehicle. The multilayer film includes layers of a first material of refractive index nsuch that n&#x2265;nand of a second material that at least partially reflects the light radiation. The second material is placed on either side of the layer of first material to confine, in the latter, the light radiation.

Windscreen and device for driving assistance

A laminated motor-vehicle windshield includes exterior glass sheet and an interior glass sheet, which sheets are joined together by an interlayer made of a thermoplastic of refractive index n. The windshield is equipped with a through-hole that passes through at least one of the glass sheets and may pass through the interlayer and wherein the hole is filled with an optical device that is suitable for deviating a light beam incident substantially horizontally on that face of the windshield which is exposed to the exterior of the vehicle and for making it converge, substantially without deformation, on an image-capturing device of a camera, such as a CCD or CMOS detector, placed facing that face of the windshield which is turned toward the passenger compartment of the vehicle. The detector is arranged substantially parallelly to the surface of the windshield.

An electrical connection element for the electrical contacting of an electrically conductive structure on a substrate is described. The electrical connection element has at least two solid subelements made from different materials, the first subelement being adapted for soldering to the electrically conductive structure, and the second subelement being adapted for connection to an electrical connection cable. The first subelement and the second subelement are connected to one another by way of at least one rivet.

A vehicle composite pane having an outer pane made of glass and an inner pane made of glass that are bonded to one another via a polymeric intermediate layer is presented. According to one aspect, the intermediate layer includes a first wedge inlay and a second wedge inlay that are made of different materials, each of the inlays being wedge-shaped and having a wedge face. According to another aspect, the wedge faces are positioned one atop the other so that, in the direction from a lower edge to an upper edge of the composite pane, the thickness of the first wedge inlay increases and the thickness of the second wedge inlay decreases. According to a further aspect, at least one of the wedge inlays has a refractive index that differs from the refractive index of the outer pane and of the inner pane.

A vehicle composite pane with an integrated light sensor is disclosed. The vehicle composite pane includes an outer pane and an inner pane that are bonded to one another via a thermoplastic intermediate layer. A plurality of photodiodes situated on a circuit board are arranged between the outer pane and the inner pane. The photodiodes are surface-mounted device (SMD) components. The photodiodes are arranged on the circuit board as groups of parallel connected photodiodes. All groups of the parallel connected photodiodes are connected to a common electrical input and each group is connected to a separate electrical output.

Vehicle composite pane with an integrated light sensor

The described methods and devices disclose panes with an electrical connection element for motor vehicles with electrically conductive structures such as heating conductors or antenna conductors. The electrically conductive structures may be connected to the vehicle's electrical system via connecting elements. The connecting elements can be flexible connection cables that may be outfitted with a standardized plug connector. According to the disclosed teachings, the process of installing such panes within the vehicle body is simple and time-saving.

An alarm pane assembly is presented. The alarm pane assembly includes a pane made of tempered glass, a transparent, electrically conductive coating that is arranged on a surface of the pane, a sensor unit, and an antenna. According to one aspect, the sensor unit includes a transmitting unit and an evaluation unit. During operation, the transmitting unit forwards a high-frequency voltage signal with a frequency f in a range of 0.1 GHz to 6 GHz to the antenna, the antenna emits electromagnetic radiation of the frequency f, and the evaluation unit measures the impedance matching of the transmitting unit to the antenna. According to another aspect, the antenna is electromagnetically coupled to the conductive coating, and the sensor unit outputs an alarm signal when the measured impedance matching deviates from a reference value.

A pane arrangement having a pane with an inner surface and an outer surface, a low-E coating arranged on the inner surface of the pane. The pane arrangement having a coating-free first partition line formed in the low-E coating. A capacitive switching region is electrically isolated from a surrounding region of the low-E coating. The surrounding region surrounds the capacitive switching region in sections. The capacitive switching region has a contact region, a supply line region and a first connection region. The supply line region electrically connects the contact region to the first connection region. A coating-free second partition line is formed in the low-E coating. The surrounding region is electrically isolated from an outer region of the low-E coating. The outer region surrounds the surrounding region. A capacitive sensor electronics system is electrically connected to the first connection region of the capacitive switching region and to the surrounding region by a second connection region.

A glazing includes at least one substrate, one portion of which includes an electrically conductive element, the conductive element including a connector made of chromium-containing steel, which connector is soldered with a solder based on tin, silver and copper to an electrically conductive track, wherein the electrically conductive track, which is formed by fritting a silver paste including a mixture of silver powder and glass frit, has a resistivity measured at 25&#xb0; C. lower than or equal to 3.5 &#x3bc;&#x3a9;&#xb7;cm and a porosity level lower than 20%, the porosity level being measured by scanning electron microscopy from a cross section through the portion of the substrate including the electrically conductive track and having been polished beforehand by ion milling.

An alarm pane assembly is presented. The assembly includes a pane made of tempered glass, a transparent, electrically conductive coating arranged on a surface of the pane, a sensor unit, and an antenna. According to one aspect, the sensor unit includes a transmitting unit and an evaluation unit. During operation, the transmitting unit forwards a high-frequency voltage signal with a frequency f in a range of 0.1 GHz to 6 GHz to the antenna, the antenna emits electromagnetic radiation of the frequency f, the evaluation unit measures the impedance matching of the transmitting unit to the antenna, and the sensor unit outputs an alarm signal when the measured impedance matching deviates from a reference value. According to another aspect, the transparent, electrically conductive coating has a region with at least one coating-free pattern that overlaps the area of the orthogonal projection of the antenna onto the transparent, electrically conductive coating.

A pane with at least one electrical connection element is described. The pane having at least a substrate, an electrically conductive structure on a region of the substrate, a connection element that is connected via a soldering compound to a region of the electrically conductive structure, and a flexible connection cable connected to the connection element. The connection cable is provided with a stiffening element and the connection cable with the stiffening element is enshrouded by a heat shrink tube.
