Embodiments of the present invention provide computer-implemented methods, computer program products, and computer systems. Specifically, embodiments of the present invention can dynamically adjust individual message retention times in a messaging system is disclosed. Embodiments of the present invention can then receive a plurality of messages, store the plurality of messages in a storage system, determine continuously, by the messaging system, interactions with messages stored by the messaging system, and determine dynamically, by the messaging system, a retention score value for selected messages based on a sum of weighted interactions type count values of the determined interactions. Finally, embodiments of the present invention can delete by the messaging system, messages for which the retention score value is below a predetermined retention threshold value.

Adaptive message retention time based on user interaction

A method, computer program product, and computer system for retaining messages. Bins for having messages stored for different retention periods are provided. Each message is of a message type. Messages are received and each received message is assigned to a bin. For each message determined to have an age exceeding a retention period of the message's assigned bin, the message is reassigned to a bin having a next higher retention period.

Request flow log retrieval can include extracting one or more keywords from a natural language description of an action, the action being a system response to a user request submitted to a resource-provisioning system during a user session. Request flow log retrieval can also include determining a classification of the action based on a correlation value generated by a classifier model trained using machine learning to classify actions performed by the resource-provisioning system, the classification based on the one or more keywords. Additionally, request flow log retrieval can include automatically identifying a request flow associated with the action based on the classification of the action and returning at least one system log entry corresponding to the request flow.

A computer-implemented method for consolidating log file entries may be provided. The method comprises receiving a first log file and a second log file, determining a first characterizing feature set of a first log file entry of the first log file and a second characterizing feature set of a second log file entry of the second log file, and determining a correlation factor value of a correlation between the first log file entry and the second log file entry by classifying a relationship of the first log file entry and the second log file entry using the characterizing feature sets. The method further comprises upon determining that the correlation factor value is above a predetermined correlation factor threshold value, determining that the first log file entry and the second log file entry relate to each other and belong to a same action flow.

Correlating logs from multiple sources based on log content

A computer-implemented method for reducing cookie traffic in browser communication is provided. The method sends, by a browser to a domain, a first request resulting in a returned cookie. The returned cookie includes a category tag. The method adds the returned cookie to a set of cookies for the browser. The category tag of the returned cookie is added to a related category tag in a browser tag list. The method sends, by the browser to a server of the domain, a second request resulting in a returned list of required category tags. The method sends a selected cookie with a category tag relating to at least one required category tag of the list of required category tags for the server. The selected cookie is selected from the set of cookies and the category tag for the selected cookie occurs within the browser tag list.

Network traffic reduction by server-controlled cookie selection

An optimization system receives a first information item to be placed within a web page that is displayed on a graphical user interface. The optimization system retrieves stored user data about the first information item from a user history database. The optimization system calculates a redundancy value for the first information item, which is a measure of the frequency with which the user has interacted with the first information item in the past. The optimization system compares the redundancy value for the first information item to a predetermined threshold value. When the redundancy value of the information item is greater than or equal to the predetermined threshold value, the optimization system requests a second information item from the information source server. The optimization system receives the second information item and places the second information item on the web page that is displayed on the graphical user interface.

Optimizing web pages by minimizing the amount of redundant information

A method for enabling a root cause analysis for an error originating in a content management system, is provided herein. The method comprises storing an identifier and a version number for each digital content item undergoing a change relating to the digital content item, and rendering a web page including the digital content item. The identifier and the version number are invisibly included in the web page. The method also comprises including the identifier and the version number in a request based on the rendered web page including the digital content item, storing fingerprint data relating to the request, creating an error record if during an execution of the request an execution error occurs, and making available the error record, the identifier and the version number of the related digital content item, as well as the related fingerprint data.

Automatic root cause analysis for web applications

Mechanisms are provided to implement an auto-propagation tagging engine. For a selected first content item in a content item ontology, an auto-propagation metadata tag is retrieved. For the auto-propagation metadata tag a corresponding auto-propagation distance property stored in a corresponding entry, associated with the auto-propagation metadata tag, in an auto-propagation metadata tag mapping data structure is identified. The auto-propagation metadata tag is propagated to a related second content item based on a traversal of the content item ontology. The related second content item is within a distance, in the content item ontology, of the selected first content item corresponding to the auto-propagation distance property. The related second content item is modified to include the auto-propagation metadata tag in content of metadata associated with the related second content item to generate an updated content item which is output to a publishing tool of a content management system for publication.

Automatically propagating tagging of content items in a content management system environment

A method for improving integrity and availability of data in a data center is provided. The data center is part of a network of data centers. The data centers in the network are adapted to act as a backup service provider. The method comprises registering backup service profile data of each of the data centers with viable data. The method also comprises accessing a forecast of monitorable events for a region, analyzing the forecast to predict a potential threat, identifying a data center in the regions, and determine a data center within the network of data centers as backup service provider. If more than one suitable backup service providers is identified, determine a best match backup service provider, establishing a backup communication connection, and transferring data from the source data center to the target data center.

Aspects of the present invention provide an approach for delivering an item to a target recipient. A mobile guardian device at a first location comprises a wireless communication system. The guardian device is further protected against unauthorized removal from the first location. An item that is delivered to a second location within a communication reach of the guardian device is detected the item by the guardian device. The item is registered with the guardian device, activating an item protection status in which an unauthorized removal of the item from the second location is detected. An authorized removal of the item from the second location is enabled in response to a communication between the guardian device and a removal authentication device.

A method and system for dynamically controlling publication of a changing web page. A delta vector of a change in position of a user interface control in a web browser window is invoked. The change in position occurred between a first time before a change to a web page that is already public was received and a second time after the change to the web page was implemented. A click speed component is invoked to obtain information on transition times between user interface controls including the user interface control within a click flow. A user interface control weight value is determined for the user interface control having undergone the change in position. A disruptiveness factor value is determined based on the delta vector and the corresponding user interface control weight. A test pattern to be applied to the changed web page is selected depending on the determined disruptiveness factor.

A method and system for dynamically testing a web page. A change to the web page is received and in response, the web page is accordingly changed. A delta vector of a change in position of a user interface control in a web browser window is determined. The change in position occurred between a first time before the change to the web page was received and a second time after the change was applied to the web page to change the web page. A user interface control weight value is determined for the user interface control having undergone the change in position. A disruptiveness factor value is determined based on the determined delta vector and the corresponding user interface control weight. A test pattern to be applied to the changed web page is selected depending on the determined disruptiveness factor. The web page is tested in accordance with the test pattern.

The invention relates to a computer-implemented method for providing an alternative GUI to a client application. A proxy computer comprises a history with request sequences respectively representing a part of a workflow predefined by an original GUI. Each request sequence in the history has been transmitted previously from an original GUI displayed in a client application via the proxy computer and via a network to a backend application. The proxy computer intercepts a current request transmitted from the original GUI to the backend application via the network and the proxy computer, compares the current intercepted request with the request sequences in the history, identifies and evaluates a matching request sequence for generating the alternative GUI, the alternative GUI completely or partially implementing the part of the workflow represented by the identified request sequence and returns the generated alternative GUI via the network to the client application.
