A hair removal appliance includes a hand-held part and interchangeable tool attachments. The hand-held part includes a housing on which various tool attachments are mountable, as well as a drive mechanism which is arranged in the housing and includes a driving element to which a respective tool attachment is adapted to be coupled with its attachment-side driving element. The tool attachments each have a coupling portion of identical construction and are connectable to a complementary coupling portion on the hand-held part of the hair removal appliance. Each of the tool attachments includes a driving element adapted to be coupled to a driving element on the side of the hand-held part.

The invention is directed to an epilator apparatus for the removal of hair. The epilator apparatus comprises a tape, which adheres to the hairs as the apparatus is moved relative to the skin. The motion of the apparatus relative to the skin feeds the tape into the plucking zone where the tape with the hairs adhered thereto is redirected perpendicular to the skin. This redirection results in the hairs being plucked from the skin as the epilator apparatus is advanced.

Epilator

The invention is directed to a rotary cylinder (7) for an epilating appliance comprising several pairs of clamping members (8) arranged in an angularly offset relation to each other, and actuating members (22) serving to move the clamping members (8) in pairs into, and subsequently out of, relative clamping engagement in the area of a plucking zone of the epilating appliance. Further, at least one control member is provided for controlling the actuating members (22). According to the invention, each pair of clamping members (8) has associated to it a separate, individually movable actuating member (22).

The invention is directed to an electrical appliance, with a housing structure comprised of a first housing portion and a second housing portion for accommodating at least one rechargeable storage cell and/or a storage cell charging circuitry, and with an appliance plug for transmitting a line voltage and for coupling and decoupling the two portions of the housing.

The invention is directed to a dry shaving apparatus comprising a pair of parallel, elongate shaving heads having inner cutters operatively associated with an outer cutter and arranged on a common coupling member which is coupled to a drive member of an electric drive mechanism, wherein at least one of the inner cutters is movably coupled to the coupling member transversely to the oscillating direction of the inner cutters.

Dry shaving apparatus

A control mechanism for raising, swinging and lowering the pick-up arm of a record player comprising a disc having an arcuately shaped depression in the periphery thereof. The contacts of an electrical contact sensor switch are located in the disc peripheral depression and bridging of these contacts will cause generation of a first command signal for the control mechanism. Devices for generating second and possibly third command signals are associated with the disc which may be rotatably mounted.

Control mechanisms for pick-up arms of record players

Pick-up arms for record players including an elongated tubular arm and a weight device which can be fitted from above to one end of the arm for balancing the arm. The weight device includes two halves each of which includes a weight element, the weight elements being movable laterally to allow for displacement of the center of gravity of the weight device. The weight device is capable of being mounted on the elongated arm such that substantially the entire weight device is positioned below the uppermost surface of the arm to provide a low profile pick-up arm. The second end of the elongated arm includes a pick-up mounting fixture affixed thereto, substantially the entire fixture being positioned below the upper surface of the tubular arm to provide a low profile pick-up arm.
