Systems, methods, and devices are disclosed for surgical instruments, systems, and methods for preventing skiving of a drilling instrument during a robotic or robot-assisted surgery are disclosed. In one embodiment, a scan of a patient's anatomy can be performed to produce a model of the bone to be drilled into and analysis of the surface can determine if the curvature is such that, if a target trajectory for a bore were followed, skiving of the drilling instrument is likely. If so, an alternate anti-skiving trajectory can be determined. The anti-skiving trajectory of a bore differs from the target trajectory by at least one of entry point, diameter, axis, or depth.

The invention relates to a device for determining the mechanical leg axis of a femur. Said device is provided with a shaft () that comprises, on one of its ends, a securing device () that is connected to the shaft and that can be blocked at various angles, in order to obtain a fastening that can be blocked in an angle stable manner and that fastens the shaft () to the knee joint of a femur, and comprises a gripping element () on its other end. A force-torque measuring device () is arranged between the gripping element () and the shaft (), said device enabling the longitudinal and/or transversal force components of force (Fz) exerted via the shaft () upon the knee joint to be measured by means of the gripping element () and/or torque produced thereby.
