The present invention describes a pallet container () for storing and transporting fluid or flowable filling materials, having a thin-walled, rigid plastics inner container () made from thermoplastic plastics material, having a tubular grid frame () which tightly surrounds the plastics inner container () as a supporting covering and which comprises horizontal and vertical tubular rods () which are welded to each other, and having a base pallet () on which the plastics inner container () is positioned and to which the tubular grid frame () is securely connected, wherein at least two rod-shaped transverse cross-members () are provided above the plastics inner container () and are fixed with the two ends thereof to two mutually opposite side walls in the upper region of the tubular grid frame (). In order to protect the upper region of the tubular grid frame () against a disadvantageous effect of impact loads and transport impacts, there is provision for the transverse cross-members () to be constructed as resilient spring elements ().

Pallet container

The present invention describes a pallet container () for storing and transporting fluid or flowable filling materials, having a thin-walled, rigid plastics inner container () made from thermoplastic plastics material, having a tubular grid frame () which tightly surrounds the plastics inner container () as a supporting covering and which comprises horizontal and vertical tubular rods () which are welded to each other, and having a base pallet () on which the plastics inner container () is positioned and to which the tubular grid frame () is securely connected, wherein at least two rod-shaped transverse cross-members () are provided above the plastics inner container () and are fixed with the two ends thereof via a screw connection to two mutually opposite side walls in the upper region of the tubular grid frame (). In order to configure the handling of such pallet containers () with manual gripping in the upper region of the tubular grid frame () in a safer manner and to prevent possible risks of injuries, there is provision according to the invention for the screw connections of the transverse cross-members () to be constructed in a completely covered manner.

A multilayer thermoplastic container for storing and transporting liquid contents, especially combustible or explosive contents, is made of at least three superimposed layers and includes at least one layer for discharging an electric charge. The innermost layer of the container in contact with the liquid content is made of virgin material and a second integrated inner layer which is covered by the innermost virgin material layer is electrically conductive as a result of incorporated additives, e.g. conductive carbon black and is covered on the outside by another electrically non-conductive layer. Electric charge carriers that accumulate on the surface of the thin inner layer due to the friction with the content are 'suctioned through' large areas of the inner, electrically non-conductive layer by the second, electrically conductive layer and discharged.

A pallet for a pallet container for storing and for transporting liquid contents has an upper deck made of profiled sheet steel and a substructure having a plurality of plastic feet or runners. The pallet is grounded electrically. In order to ensure a reliable electrical discharge (electrical grounding) of, for example, electrostatic charging, accompanied by the properties of a high resistance to mechanical loading, fewer than half the plastic feet or runners are made of plastic material which is electrically conductive and more than half the plastic feet or runners are made of plastic material which is not electrically conductive.

An identification plate for a pallet container includes a plate body for placement upon a lattice frame of a pallet container. The plate body has an upper edge, which is bent rearwards at a first angle for attachment to an upper horizontal rod of the lattice frame, a lower edge, which is bent rearwards at the first angle for attachment to a lower horizontal rod of the lattice frame, and opposite lateral edges extending between the upper and lower edges and bent rearwards at a second angle which is greater than the first angle. Each of the lateral edges ends at its rear in a rolled edge and is formed with terminal recesses for receiving the upper and lower horizontal rods. The rolled edge is hereby sized to project with its ends in a rod-like manner into the recesses to engage behind the upper and lower horizontal rods.
