A latching device for at least two housing parts, in which a snap-on connection as well as a latching connection between the housing parts is produced by a correspondingly designed rotary knob/pushbutton function. The actuating button preferably is respectively arranged on two opposing sidewalls of an upper housing part, wherein the actuating button respectively acts upon a spring lever that is arranged on the inner wall of the upper housing part. During assembly of the upper housing part and a lower housing part, a forced snap-on connection between the two housing parts is produced and can only be disengaged again by exerting pressure upon the actuating buttons on both sides.

Latching device for multipart housings

In an electric connector on a printed circuit board that features a connector part acted upon with relatively high electric voltage values, sparkovers between the continuing strip conductors arranged on the printed circuit board and the soldering points of the electric contacts are prevented by providing a snap-on element with several chamber in the connector part, wherein the chamber walls of this snap-on element can be inserted into slots arranged in the printed circuit board, and wherein the chambers respectively enclose the soldering point of one of the electric contacts in the connector part.

For the separable connection of an electrical conductor with a large cross-section to an insulation displacement connection, it is proposed that a connecting body with at least one insulation displacement terminal into which an electrical conductor can be forced by means of a clamping screw, be provided in a conductor-connecting element.

For a contact element with a connection for stranded conductors, in particular a contact element for high currents, it is proposed that the connecting end of the contact element be provided with a transverse bore in which the stranded conductor can be inserted, that the contact element be further provided with an axial threaded bore which reaches as far as the transverse bore, and that a clamping screw provided with a conical point be screwed into the threaded bore, and thus into the stranded conductor.

For a connector for high currents, in order to reduce the volume resistance it is proposed to provide the front end of the contact pin with spring tongues and to form the rear end of the contact socket as a rigid, essentially inflexible socket. Front spring tongues of the contact socket act on the solid part of the contact pin, and the spring tongues of the contact pin act against the wall of the rear end of the contact socket.

Connector for high currents

For a single-pole contact system for high currents, consisting of a rigid socket part (1) and a plug-in part (2) comprising elastic contact lamellae (16), it is proposed that the plug-in part (2) is provided with a pin-type projection (9), a cylindrical contact part (15), on which are fashioned elastic contact lamellae (16), is pushed on to the pin-type projection (9), the free ends of the contact lamellae pointing towards a conical transition (12) from the plug-in part (2) to the pin-type projection (9) and, at the front end of the projection, there is provided a pressure part (20) which acts on the contact part (15), the free ends of the contact lamellae (16) being pressed against the cone so that they are pressed radially outward, i.e., against the inside of the socket.
