The invention relates to a system for sensing an object in the pivoting range of a top for a convertible vehicle, the system comprising an electrode for sensing field properties of a field which is assigned to the top, and an evaluation unit for evaluating the sensed field properties. The invention further relates to a method for sensing a top of a convertible vehicle which is moved by a drive, comprising the steps: sensing of a field between the top of the convertible vehicle and the bodywork during movement of the top of the convertible vehicle, adjusting of the sensed characteristic variables to setpoint values, and acting on the drive as a function of the sensed characteristic variables of the field and of the setpoint values.

Top for a convertible vehicle

A folding top for a cabriolet vehicle is provided, that includes a first roof part which is embodied as a rigid shell element, a second roof part which is embodied as a rigid shell element, and a forced control unit. The first roof part and the second roof part are pivotable relative to a body of the vehicle, are driven by a common force-introducing unit, and are movable by the forced control unit. The forced control unit includes a mechanical control device, by which movement of the second roof part can be delayed from movement of the first roof part.

A device for activating a rear window of a motor vehicle is provided that includes a control lever designed as a 3-point link, which is pin-jointed at one end with the rear window. The device further includes a driving link, which can be driven rotatably about a first fixed bearing, and a coupling link, which is guided pivotably about a second fixed bearing. At least the first fixed bearing is arranged on a roof element of the motor vehicle, while the control lever is coupled to the driving link and the coupling link in a restricted guidance, such that a rotation of the driving link about the first fixed bearing shifts the linking point of the control lever to the rear window substantially vertically.

A folding top for a cabriolet vehicle, that includes a first roof part which is embodied as a rigid shell element, a second roof part which is embodied as a rigid shell element, and a forced control unit. The first roof part and the second roof part are pivotable relative to a body of the vehicle, are driven by a common force-introducing unit, and are movable by means of the forced control unit. The forced control unit includes a mechanical control device, by means of which movement of the second roof part can be delayed from movement of the first roof part.

A convertible vehicle top includes a first roof part, a second roof part adjoining the first roof part in a closed position of the top, and an outer link pivotably connected to the first roof part and to the second roof part. The outer link is connected to the first roof part by a first link mechanism and is disposed on an outer side of the first roof part in the closed position of the top.

A folding top for a cabriolet vehicle, that includes a first roof part which rests on a rear element of the vehicle, which can be opened, in the closed covering position, a second roof part which is pivotably mounted on the vehicle and is disposed in front of the first roof part in the direction of traffic when said second roof part is in a closed covering position, a third roof part which is disposed in front of the second roof part in the direction of traffic when said third roof part is in a closed covered position. The first roof part can be lifted from the rear element. Device for covering a trunk of a motor vehicle

A top for a convertible vehicle includes a roof module having at least one rigid roof part, the roof module being connected to the vehicle by way of a main link mechanism. The roof module is movable over the course of an opening movement of the top into a rear-side storage region of the vehicle. The main link mechanism includes a main four-bar linkage and a second four-bar linkage constructed on the main four-bar linkage. The second four-bar linkage is coupled in a positively controlled manner to the main four-bar linkage.

A top for a convertible vehicle, the top including a storage space for storing the top in an opened state of the top, an essentially shape-preserving covering member for covering the storage space in a closed state of the top, and a rear top section. The top section is arranged at least partially above the storage space in the closed state of the top, and the covering member is connected to the rear top section by at least one connecting member. Movement of the top section can move the covering member via the connecting member.

A top for a convertible vehicle includes a rigid moveable roof part with an outer surface and an inner surface, a linkage moveable relative to the roof part during an opening movement of the convertible top, and a cover including a flexible sheet-like element. The linkage is disposed between the outer surface of the roof part and the cover in a closed state of the convertible top. The cover is moveable away from the roof part during the opening movement of the convertible top so as to form a space for the linkage.

A top for a convertible vehicle having a vehicle body. The top includes a roof part held movably on the vehicle body and moveable from a closed state to an open state, a rear window element having a side, and a pillar element disposed on the roof part and disposed at the side of the rear window element in the closed state of the roof part. The pillar element is inwardly pivotable relative to the roof part toward a center of the vehicle.

A folding top for a convertible vehicle includes a rear shell component, at least one front shell component, and a central shell component. The at least one front shell component, the central shell component and the rear shell component are able to be arranged as a top over an interior of the convertible vehicle in a closed condition. The at least one front shell component and the central shell component are able to be deposited in a rear area of the convertible vehicle using a first positive control mechanism. The rear shell component can be deposited in the rear area of the convertible vehicle using a second positive control mechanism. The rear shell component is mounted on a rear element that at least partially covers the rear area of the convertible vehicle. In an open condition of the top, the rear element at least partially covers the rear shell component.

A closure device for a convertible top includes a lateral roof frame, a hoop element, and a pivotable hook arranged on the lateral roof frame which can be brought into engagement with the hoop element. The closure device also includes a first sliding element, the hook being accommodated in a pivotable manner on the first sliding element, and a second sliding element, it being possible for pivoting of the hook to be driven by a drivable movement of the second sliding element relative to the first sliding element.

A top for a convertible vehicle moveable between an open state and a closed state: The top includes a flexible top fabric, a top linkage, a laterally disposed top-cloth tensioning bracket, and a fin link including an inherently rigid structural part configured to bear longitudinal and tensile loads. The fin link is connected in an articulated manner on a rear end of the top-cloth tensioning bracket. In the closed state, the top-cloth tensioning bracket is part of a fin of the top and the fin link supports the top-cloth.
