Rotor of an electrical machine

An electrical machine including at least one sensor, a transducer wheel at which the sensor axially picks up a signal, an end face of the sensor being adjacent to an annular face on one face end of the transducer wheel, a shaft, on which the transducer wheel is axially displaceably secured, a fixed bearing, and a loose bearing, in which bearings the shaft is supported, and a housing. At least one stop on the machine having at least one stop face that points in the direction of the fixed bearing and has at least one stop face on the transducer wheel, the stop faces being oriented toward one another and axially facing one another. Viewed in the direction of the transducer wheel, the stop faces are designed relative to one another such that the two diametrically opposed active surfaces of the sensor and of the transducer wheel barely do not touch. As a result, the power deviation of the complete electrical machine is reduced due to the minimization of the required axial spacing tolerances between the sensor and the transducer wheel.

In rotors for electric motors, it is usual to fix the commutator on the rotor shaft by means of a press fit. In the present invention, the rotor shaft, with the rotor core fixed thereon, is electronically coated with an epoxy layer on opposite portions of the rotor shaft and in the winding slots, and is then heated on the plasticizing and curing temperature of the epoxy. After that, with the help of a sliding temperature, the commutator, whose inner bore has a clearance fit relative to the rotor shaft, is slipped onto the rotor shaft in a terminal position, in the process the still-viscous epoxy is pushed backward and is deposited radially on a connecting end face, forming a bead, and penetrates the annular gap between the inner bore and the rotor shaft. Once the epoxy layer has cooled, the commutator is fixed against rotation and displacement on the rotor shaft. The rotor is suitable for electric motors of various types.

Method of producing a rotor

A process for fixing a rotor winding, which is hooked to connection lugs of commutator lamellas of a commutator in the vicinity between the connection lugs and winding heads that are embodied on the end face of the rotor body. In order to simplify the process, a shrink sleeve is placed over the commutator of the completed rotor and is slid onto the winding heads until the connection lugs and the connection wires of the rotor winding that extend to the connection lugs are covered. The mechanically fixed shrink sleeve is homogeneously heated with hot air while the rotor rotates so that after cooling, the shrink sleeve shrinks onto the connection lugs and connection wires as well as onto parts of the winding heads.

Process for fixing a rotor winding

A rotor for an electric motor includes a commutator and a rotor shaft with a rotor winding that is contained in a rotor body supported on the rotor shaft in a rotationally fixed manner. The commutator has commutator lamellas that are disposed axially next to one another in the circumference direction with an insulation gap and have connection lugs for attachment of connecting wires of the rotor winding. In a region between the commutator and the rotor body, an additional winding is wound around the connecting wires in order to fix or stabilize the connecting wires. The rotor is provided for electric motors used in vehicle construction.
