The invention concerns a steam iron comprising a water reservoir (), a hydraulic circuit () connecting the reservoir () to an electrically heated vaporization chamber (), the circuit including in series an anti-drip valve (), and an adjustable drip element () capable, in a self-cleaning position, of opening allowing a free passageway and supplying water to said chamber. The invention is characterized in that the drip element comprises means for opening or maintaining open the anti-drip valve (), when it is in the self-cleaning position.

Self-cleaning iron

A filling orifice structure in a clothes pressing iron having a water reservoir, the structure having: an orifice body providing a filling orifice for filling the reservoir; a closing piece mounted for movement between an open position for opening said filling orifice and a closed position for closing the filling orifice; and at least one sealing joint overmolded onto the orifice body and disposed to provide a fluid seal between the body and the closing piece.
