A chair, such as a conference or office chair, includes a seat support; a backrest support; a storage member formed as a force storage element; and a transmission coupling the seat support with the backrest support which allows a pivoting of the backrest support and the seat support between an upright position and a backwardly pivoted position according to a predetermined sequence of movements. The force storage element is coupled with the seat support and the backrest support such that the predetermined sequence of movements is facilitated and the storage member provides a force restoring in the upright position and wherein the flexibly elastic storage member forms in conjunction at least with a first articulated rotation point of the transmission a kinematic chain.

Chair, particularly conference or office chair, and method for manufacturing a chair

A backrest attachment device for a chair is disclosed and includes a metal bow with two bends that is designed such that a shorter intermediate piece with a 90&#xb0; bend is connected to a comparatively long flank, the shorter intermediate piece in turn having connected thereto a shorter end piece with a 90&#xb0; bend, wherein an intended level formed by the long flank and the intermediate piece and an intended level formed by the intermediate piece and the end piece are perpendicular to each other, and wherein the metal bow is insertable with a long flank portion thereof through an elongated hole introduced into the backrest frame and interlocked with a simple rotary motion in an interlocking mechanism within the backrest frame, and wherein the end piece of the metal bow is connectable to the frame of the chair.

Backrest attachment device

A chair is provided which has a tiltable seat carrier and a tiltable backrest on the backrest carrier which are forcibly coupled to one another, and which has an individual adjustment feature for the tilt of the seat carrier in relation to the backrest carrier. Provided on the underside of the seat carrier is a bearing block having a slideway contour and a vertical slot in which the flange of a lifting element is mounted vertically movably, wherein the lifting element has a substantially triangular collar which slides on the substantially rectangular slideway contour when the flange moves vertically. The tilt of the seat carrier can be adjusted to be steeper or flatter by turning the lifting element, and the limit positions are completely stable such that the possibility of automatic unlocking is eliminated.

The present invention relates to a device for lumbar support () for an office chair with a backrest consisting of a backrest frame with a membrane stretched over it, wherein the device () is mounted independently of the membrane in the backrest frame and is adjustable in height as well as horizontally extendable. Device for lumbar support

A chair, such as a swivel chair for the office, has an armrest that is made up of an armrest carrier, which includes a carrier and a sleeve sliding thereon and attached to the seat at the bottom by a seat flange which can be displaced transversely to the seat direction, and of an arm support, which can be displaced longitudinally via a guide and can be rotated via a rotary part mounted in a rotary bearing. The guide is arranged parallel, but eccentrically in relation, to the axis of symmetry of the arm support. Since the rotatability of the arm support is at least 1800, it is possible to set different clear distances between the two arm supports of the chair.

Armrest

In a neck support for a chair, a head cushion is articulated, via an articulation bearing, on a guide sleeve displaced on a retaining bar, articulated on the top edge of a backrest via a further articulation bearing, the retaining bar and the guide sleeve being of rectilinear design, this resulting in linear height adjustability of the neck support. The bottom articulation bearing and preferably also the top articulation bearing each comprise a cylinder on the retaining bar and two cylinders on a bearing foot or on a link plate, it being possible for the first cylinder to rotate in a controlled manner between the two second cylinders via blocks.
