Self-venting filter element for a fuel filter arrangement

A valve, in particular for the oil circuit of an internal combustion engine. The valve includes a supporting dome, a valve body situated therein, a valve disk which is connected to the supporting dome and has an opening which can be closed by the valve body, and an element having a spring action which urges the valve body into the position in which the valve body closes the opening of the valve disk; the valve disk including a receptacle for a screen element, and the screen element being permanently connected to the valve disk.

A replaceable filter cartridge assembly for a liquid filter and a liquid filter in which such a filter cartridge is installed. The filter cartridgeis provided with a support elementand a seatfor a sealing membraneis provided on the support elementThe sealing membrane seals the inletof the housing via a sealing edgethat acts as a return flow barrier over the inlet. The sealing membranealso has a radial sealing surfaceto provide a seal between the support elementand the outlet portof the filter. This permits the filter cartridge to be manufactured in a particularly cost-effective manner and assures simple mounting within the housing. A valve, particularly a pressure relief valve for the lubricating oil filter of an internal combustion engine, which includes a valve plate 11, a valve body 10 cooperating with the valve plate, a valve spring 14 and a valve hood 15, the valve spring 14 being supported on the valve hood 15 and exerting a force on the valve plate to seal the opening between the valve plate and the valve body. A cylindrical guide 24 is provided at the upper end of the valve hood, and the valve plate 11 contains a blind bore 25 which receives the cylindrical guide in order to guide the valve plate.

Internal combustion engine lubricating oil filter valve

A liquid filter for cleaning the lubricating oil of an internal combustion engine which comprises a vertically upstanding filter housing 10 closed at the top by a removable cover 12. In this filter housing there is a filter insert 18 which is removable for maintenance and separates a dirty liquid chamber 41 from a filtrate chamber 42 in the filter housing. When the cover 12 is opened and the filter insert 18 is removed, the liquid drains out through a drain passagway 17. This drain passageway 17 is provided with a shut-off device 25 which shuts off the drain passageway 17 when the filter insert 18 is installed, and which opens this drain passageway 17 when the filter insert 18 is loosened. The shut-off device 25 is a compact unit which can be mounted and inspected outside the filter housing 10, and can be used for filter housings of various sizes.
