Endoscope and cleaning instrument for an endoscope

An endoscope includes a shaft having a distal end, an optical imaging device at the distal end of the shaft for producing a real image of an object observed by means of the endoscope and at least one of an image transfer device for transmitting the real image and an image sensor for capturing the real image. The imaging device has curved light-refracting interfaces, which are tilted in relation to one another.

A fluorescence diagnosis system has a viewing system at least one light source and a camera system. The at least one light source can be operated in three modes, a first generating white light, a second with a first fluorescence excitation light of a first excitation wavelength and a third in which a second fluorescence excitation light of a second excitation wavelength is generated producing a fluorescence image in the NIR range. The camera system is sensitive at least in the visible and the NIR range. The system further comprises an image processing system for converting the fluorescence image in the NIR range into a visible image.

Apparatus and method for endoscopic 3D data collection

An endoscope has a shaft housing a lighting and an image transmission system and said endoscope being designed to be autoclavable. The shaft has a distal end portion which is made deflectable. An outer part is provided which is attached to said shaft. The outer part has a deflector mechanism for deflecting said deflectable distal end portion of said shaft and said outer part can be attached to said shaft by being releasably mounted laterally onto said shaft.

A light system for medical photodynamic applications comprises an incoherent light source emitting a light with a power and a light guide which has a distal end and an entrance interface. The entrance interface and the light source have a position relative to one another and are able to be positioned relative to one another. The light system further comprises a luminous power meter for measuring a luminous power emitted at the distal end of the light guide, a motorized positioning unit for positioning the entrance interface and the light source relative to one another, and a control unit which controls the positioning unit as a function of the luminous power measured by the luminous power meter.

A monitoring control unit () is provided, which is connected to the simulation computer unit () and to the instrument input unit (), with the monitoring control unit () having a first interface () which provides communication of parameters between the monitoring control unit () and the simulation computer unit () at a speed in the region of the video framing rate, and having a second interface () which provides communication of parameters with the instrument input unit () at a speed which is higher than, in particular a multiple of, the video framing rate, and with the instrument input unit () allowing at least four degrees of freedom, detecting movements of the instrument () within these degrees of freedom, supplying corresponding signals to the monitoring control unit () and receiving signals for the force feedback unit (), at least some of which are generated by the simulation computer unit ().

A device for the sterile sheathing of a sterilization-sensitive operating part, which can be connected to a medical instrument for surgical intervention, having a handling element, which comprises a bundled sterile hose at a distal end, whereby the handling element further comprises an opening, through which the sterilization-sensitive operating part can be inserted from proximal to distal into the sterile hose such that the sterilization-sensitive operating part can thereby be sheathed with the hose. An illumination system for producing light and for launching the light into a proximal end of an optical cable of an observation apparatus for endoscopy or microscopy has a light source having at least one LED. In addition, the illumination system has an optical light guiding element between the light source and the proximal end of the optical cable for introducing the light emitted by the light source into the proximal end of the optical cable, wherein a first end region of the optical light guiding element on a side facing the light source has a smaller cross-sectional area than a second end region of the optical light guiding element on a side facing the proximal end of the optical cable. Furthermore, the illumination system has a cooling apparatus which has at least one cooling body and which is thermally conductively connected to the light source in order to remove heat produced by the light source from the illumination system. The cooling body is arranged completely on a side of the light source which is remote from the optical light guiding element.

The present invention relates to a system for the central control of devices used during an operation, comprising a first control unit for control of said devices. The system is characterized in that a second control unit is provided which is connected to the first control unit for exchange of information. The first control unit may be embodied as closed system for control of at least those devices which carry out safety-related functions (safety-related devices), and the second control unit may be embodied as open system for control of the remaining devices which carry out non safety-related functions (non safety-related devices). The invention further relates to a method for the central control of devices.

A stroboscope module has a coupling with which the stroboscope module can be connected to a light connection of an endoscope. The coupling comprises a sleeve and a base, with the base being arranged in the sleeve displacable in an axial direction between a first position and a second position. An elastically deformable cuff having an internal diameter is arranged within the sleeve, into which cuff the light connection of the endoscope can be inserted in the first position. The sleeve and the base compress the cuff in the second position such that the internal diameter of the cuff is reduced and the light connection of the endoscope is locked in the coupling. The sleeve and the base can be locked in the second position.

An image pick-up module comprises an electronic image sensor, single-piece circuit board electrically bonded to the image sensor, and at least one cable electrically bonded and leading away from the circuit board. The circuit board has at least three sections, first and second section extending in relation to the other and obliquely or crosswise to the image sensor, and third section arranged between first and second section. The image sensor is arranged on the circuit board opposite the third section. In a method for assembling the image pick-up module, the circuit board has the form of a planar board blank comprising at least three sections folded along flexible connecting sections whereby the at least one cable is bonded to the board, and the board folds whereby a third section is located between first and second section, and the image sensor is bonded to the circuit board opposite the third section.
