A pneumatic vehicle tire includes a carcass, a bead with a bead core arranged in the bead, and a first sensor located within the bead. The first sensor delivers signals which are correlated to frictional forces transmitted by the pneumatic vehicle tire during operation. This sensor has a first end and a second end, wherein the first end includes a heel attached to the bead core and the second end extends radially outward from the bead core within the tire. A plurality of such sensors can be included in each tire, some for measuring longitudinal forces in a circumferential direction of the tire and others for measuring lateral forces in an axial direction of the tire.

A device for measuring a rotary frequency of a rotating vehicle tire includes a number of first poles uniformly arranged on a circle with a radius R1 on or within a vehicle tire. A first sensor, for sensing the first poles, is stationarily arranged at a distance R2 from a rotational axis of the vehicle wheel. The radii have the following relationship: 0.9 R1&lt;R2&lt;1.1 R1. A computing unit is connected to the first sensor. The first sensor sends first signals to the computing unit when the first poles pass the first sensor. The computing unit determines a first time period between passing of sequential ones of the first poles. The computing unit multiplies a reciprocal value of the first time period by a reciprocal value of the number of the first poles to a multiplication product and supplies the multiplication product as a measure of a first rotary frequency to a user device.

A vehicle tire having a profiled tread on the periphery of which are arranged pitches of at least two different lengths. In an axial direction, the tread is divided into several parts, with the successive pitch length in a given axial part forming a pitch sequence. To further reduce radial force fluctuations that induce vibrations by the transmission of noise into wheel suspension and body parts, the phase offset between the pitch sequences of the various tread parts is dimensioned such that the distance between the absolute extremes of the summation of weighted representations of a given function is minimal or at most 25% greater than this minimum. Each of the tread parts have associated therewith a function that is the successive plotting of successive pitch lengths of the pertaining tread part on the abscissa while marking off the respective pitch length, starting from the abscissa, onto the ordinate. From each of these functions a 'representation' is determined that is what remains after elimination of all harmonic parts of greater than the x order, with 'x' being an integer between 8 and 14. To determine this remainder, the function is first harmonically analyzed from the first to the x order, and from this information, including the phase information, the representation is generated by synthesis.

A rubber article has a body consisting of rubber and a reinforcement structure with cables embedded in the rubber body. A method for correcting tire imbalance of a tubeless pneumatic vehicle tire includes the step of mounting the tire on a master wheel rim of great manufacturing precision and having a design that is identical at least in its seat surface to commercial wheel rims for the tire. The tire is inflated to a pressure within a range of -0.3 bar to +0.2 bar of a maximum operating pressure. The pneumatic vehicle tire mounted on the master wheel rim is pressed against a measuring device. At least one radial parameter is measured. The values of the radial parameter are recorded as a function of the angle of rotation from 0.degree. to 360.degree. of the tire. The maximum and the minimum of the radial parameter is determined and the difference between the maximum and minimum is calculated. The difference is compared to a predetermined threshold value. The bead of the tire, when the difference between the maximum and the minimum is above the threshold value, is corrected. Correction includes the step of removing at locations, where the value of the radial parameter is greater than the minimum plus the threshold value, tire material from the radially inwardly facing seat surface of the tire bead at least to such an extent that the remaining tire imbalance is within a given tolerance range.
