The invention relates to a two-component polyurethane adhesive containing i) a polyol component including a mixture of three different polyols to ensure crosslinking for a mechanically stable adhesive bonding, and also to achieve hydrophobia to ensure that the crosslinked adhesive layer is impervious to moisture, and glass fibers, and ii) an isocyanate component containing polyisocyanates in an NCO/OH ratio of 0.9:1 to 1.5:1. The polyol component further includes a metal catalyst. The two-component adhesive has a high adhesive strength, a high glass temperature, a low curing time and a sufficiently long processing time, which can adhesively bond also substrates having uneven surfaces. The invention further relates to an article comprising the two-component polyurethane adhesive.

Two-component polyurethane adhesive for adhesively bonding molded fiber parts

The present invention relates to new catalysts and production thereof as well as the preferred use thereof in the production of polyisocyanate polyaddition products. The described catalysts are tetravalent tin compounds with at least one ligand bonded via at least one oxygen atom or sulfur atom and containing at least one nitrogen atom.

Catalysts and use thereof in the production of polyurethanes

The present invention relates to the use of specific inorganic Sn(IV) for the production of polyisocyanate polyaddition products from a) at least one aliphatic, cycloaliphatic, araliphatic and/or aromatic polyisocyanate, b) at least one NCO-reactive compound, c) at least one thermolatent inorganic tin-containing catalyst, d) optionally further catalysts and/or activators other than c), e) optionally fillers, pigments, additives, thickeners, antifoams and/or other auxiliary substances and additives, wherein the ratio of the weight of the tin from component c) and the weight of component a) is less than 3000 ppm when component a) is an aliphatic polyisocyanate and less than 95 ppm when component a) is an aromatic polyisocyanate, wherein as thermolatent catalysts cyclic tin compounds of formula I, II or III:  wherein n&#x3e;1, are used.
