A polyamide composition contains a) 88.5-98 wt. % of at least one aliphatic polyamide, wherein at least one monomer unit has 10 to 14 carbon atoms, and wherein the aliphatic polyamide is semi-crystalline; and b) 2-11.5 wt. % of an S glass fiber. The weight percentages of a) and b) are based on a total weight of the polyamide composition. The polyamide composition contains neither a polyolefinic impact modifier nor a core-shell modifier. A moulding material containing the polyamide composition is useful, and a moulded article can be produced from the moulding material. A shoe outsole containing the polyamide composition is also useful.

Polyamide composition

A method for producing a rubber-plastic composite, including the steps of (a) shaping an unvulcanized elastomer, (b) partially vulcanizing the shaped elastomer at a temperature of at least 140° C. up to a degree of vulcanization in the range from 10% to 40%, (c) cooling the partially vulcanized elastomer to a temperature of less than 100° C. within less than 20 minutes, (d) overmolding the partially vulcanized elastomer with a plastic, and (e) heat treating the partially vulcanized elastomer overmolded with a plastic at a temperature in the range from 100° C. to 170° C. for a duration of from 5 minutes to 5 hours to complete the vulcanization and form a rubber-plastic composite. The method further relates to a rubber-plastic composite obtainable by the method according to the invention and also to a shoe comprising the rubber-plastic composite obtainable by the method according to the invention.

Method for producing a rubber-plastic composite

A polymer composition includes a linear aliphatic polyamide having on average 10 to 14 carbon atoms in the monomer units, an S glass fibre, and a polyolefinic impact modifier. The polymer composition can achieve higher stiffness and impact strength without impairing the ductility. The polymer composition can be used as a moulding material.

A polymer composite includes a linear aliphatic semi-crystalline polyamide having on average 10 to 14 carbon atoms in the monomer units, or the compound thereof, an S glass fiber, and a core-shell impact modifier. The polymer composite can achieve higher stiffness and impact strength without impairing the transparency significantly. The polymer composite can be used as molding material.

Semi-transparent polymer composite comprising a linear aliphatic polyamide

A composite part is produced by a process in which at least one of components a) and b) of said composite part is treated with an Openair plasma on a contact surface between said components a) and b) prior to production of the composite part, followed by molding-on of the other component; wherein said components are as follows: a) a part which entirely or to some extent comprises a molding composition comprising at least 40% by weight of a polyamide whose monomer units contain an average of at least 8 carbon atoms, and b) a part comprising another molding composition.
