Systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer program products for device-to-device (D2D) assisted 5G timing synchronization by enabling or disabling time compensation are provided. One method may include determining to initiate a procedure to determine whether to enable or disable propagation delay (PD) compensation for acquiring 5G system (5GS) timing with a sidelink (SL) group of user equipment. When it is determined to initiate the procedure, the method may include transmitting propagation delay (PD) information of the user equipment as a sidelink (SL) groupcast message over a sidelink (SL) control channel to at least one of the group of user equipment, receiving at least one of acknowledgement or nonacknowledgement from one or more of the group of user equipment, and determining whether to enable or disable the propagation delay (PD) compensation based on the received acknowledgement or nonacknowledgement from the group of user equipment.

Device-to-device assisted timing synchronization

A method, apparatus, and a computer-readable storage medium are provided for constructing a HARQ-ACK codebook for managing the trade-off between codebook size and feedback granularity. In an example implementation, the method may include a network node determining a second time domain resource allocation table and transmitting configuration information to the UE. The method may further include the network node transmitting downlink data to the UE and receiving the one or more ACKs and/or NACKs from the UE in response to the transmitting of the downlink data, the one or more ACKs/NACKs being generated based at least on the second time resource allocation table. In another example implementation, the method may include a user equipment (UE) receiving configuration information from a network node, receiving downlink data from the network node, and transmitting one or more ACKs/NACKs to the network node.

Abase station may transmit to a UE a forwarding time parameter for data packet(s) associated with a HARQ process. The UEmay store the data packet(s) in a HARQ buffer and determine to hold the data packet(s) in the HARQ buffer until a delivery time determined based on the forwarding time parameter. Once the delivery time has been reached, the UE may forward the data packets to higher protocol layers. This enables efficient jitter control of a data packet flow. Apparatuses, methods, and computer programs are disclosed.

One method may include providing, from a network node to at least one second node, a pointer to an earlier or first transmission of a protocol data unit (PDU). According to an example embodiment, a method may include receiving, by a user device in a wireless network, an uplink grant, the uplink grant indicating granted resources having a priority level; determining, by the user device, whether or not information to be transmitted has a priority level that matches the priority level of the granted resources; and transmitting, by the user device, the information via at least a portion of the granted resources, and an indication of whether or not a priority level of the information matches a priority level of the granted resources.

Various communication systems may benefit from efficient communications. For example, low latency long term evolution (LTE) systems may benefit from a short physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) arrangement. A method may include operating a user equipment to follow a shortened transmission time interval. The shortened transmission time interval can be an integer number, L, of symbols in length. The method can also include sending a demodulation reference signal in at least a first symbol of the L symbols of the shortened transmission time interval.

One method may include receiving, at a UE, at least one dedicated subset of power control parameters and corresponding values to be used for PUSCH power control in a case where a high priority UCI is multiplexed on a low priority PUSCH, and determining one subset from the at least one dedicated subset of power control parameters, or determining one subset from the at least one dedicated subset of power control parameters and determining at least one parameter from the determined subset.
